Intro Video

Match 1
TNT Title Match
Tony Nese vs Sammy Guevara (TNT Champ)
(referee: Aubrey Edwards)

Show/Hide Results

Result: Sammy Guevara wins via pinfall after GTH, and he retains the title in his fourth defense
Time: 12:55

Match Thoughts
Very good match. Guevara dominated Nese at first, but as the match went on the they traded advantages more and more. They both built up to bigger moves in the later stages of the match, and I particularly enjoyed how they were peppering in hard strikes with the flashier moves they are both known for.

Backstage
Christian Cage, speaking for Luchasaurus and Jungle Boy, says that Jurassic Express will be the next AEW Tag Team Champs. But first, they need to scout tonight’s main event.

Match 2
Jade Cargill w/ Smart Mark Sterling vs “The Kick Demon” Janai Kai
(referee: Paul Turner)

Show/Hide Results

Result: Jade Cargill wins via pinfall after Jaded
Time: 0:35

Match Thoughts
Squash. Janai Kai got in zero demonic kicks, and she was put away in three moves. Excalibur barely had time to plug Shaq Life before the match was over.

Ring Area
After the match, Jade attacks Kai with a pump kick. Thunder Rosa heads to the ring and takes Jade down. Referees quickly run out to pull Rosa off of Jade.

Backstage
With the Young Bucks, Adam Cole is angry at Orange Cassidy and calls him the laughing stock of AEW. Nick Jackson says he and Matt are top guys, and Matt suggest he and Nick take on two members of Best Friends this coming Wednesday.

Backstage
Eddie Kingston congratulates 2point0 on beating up Chris Jericho. He also says 2point0 is going to realize that they reap what they sow.

Video
A look at the feud between Bryan Danielson and the Dark Order/Adam Page. The video focuses on on the upcoming match between Danielson and John Silver. Danielson says he wasn’t joking around at the age of 30 (like Silver), he was winning championships (not like Silver).

Backstage
Mark Henry interviews FTR and Death Triangle before tonight’s main event. FTR is upset that Rey Fenix isn’t here to defend the AEW Tag Titles.

Match 3
FTR (AAA Tag Champs) w/ Tully Blanchard vs “The Bastard” Pac & Penta El Zero Miedo (AEW Tag Champ) w/ Alex Abrahantes
(referee: Rick Knox)

Show/Hide Results

Result: Dax Harwood pins Pac after Malakai Black interferes and spits black mist in Pac’s one good eye
Time: 18:19

Match Thoughts
Very good match. I was a little disappointed that the finish involved interference when it could have easily had the same result without any shenanigans, but for story purposes it worked fine. Before the finish though, the match was very enjoyable. Pac and Penta were strong early in the match, but FTR managed to isolate Pac. That built up to a hot tag for Penta, and the match opened up from there. Fairly typical stuff, but very well done as you’d expect from these four guys.

Ring Area
After the match, FTR remove Penta’s mask and take it away as they leave the ring. Malakai Black then enters the ring and jams his finger into Pac’s eye.

Show Impressions
This was a fun show. Nothing too important, but it did a good job continuing stories while giving us a couple of fun matches.

Match of the Night
Sammy Guevara vs Tony Nese
The finish of the main event hurt it enough for me that I ended up liking the TNT Title match more (and the finish to that match was great).
