Intro Video
“War Zone” by 615 Music

Ring Area
ROH World Champ, Christopher Daniels, is already in the ring. He talks about beating Dalton Castle and of future and potential contenders or his title. He also seems a little upset that “The American Nightmare” Cody attacked him from behind. If he wanted a match, all he had to do was ask. The lights go out, and Cody comes out.

Cody wonders why he’s not getting a title match tonight. Daniels seems to welcome the challenge, but Cody would prefer not to fight in Baltimore. Daniels says if it were up to him, he’d add Cody to the match at War of the Worlds. Cody questions why Daniels, as the champ, isn’t making that call for himself.

Backstage
Frankie Kazarian says Scurll is a great villain, but Kaz is a superhero. Tonight, it’s raining blood.

Match 1
Lio Rush vs Shane Taylor w/ Caprice Coleman
(referee: Paul Turner)

Show/Hide Results

Result: Shane Taylor wins via pinfall after a sitout chokeslam
Time: 4:40 (1 break)

Match Thoughts
Pretty good match. Rush used his speed, but Taylor’s size was just too much. That, and a well-timed distraction from Coleman. This wasn’t a particularly deep match, but I liked it okay for what it was.

Ring Area
After the match, Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley tend to Lio Rush. Taylor and Coleman then attack the Motor City Machine Guns. Taylor hits a second-rope splash on Sabin.

Video
Clips from the Top Prospect Tournament featuring Josh Woods and John Skyler.

Match 2
2017 Top Prospect Tournament Final Match
John Skyler vs Josh “The Goods” Woods
(referee: Todd Sinclair; guest commentary: Bob Evans)

Show/Hide Results

Result: Josh Woods wins via submission with a knee bar
Time: 8:01 (1 break)

Match Thoughts
Pretty good match. It took a little while to get going, but in the second half of the match both guys started trading big moves and near falls.

Ring Area
After the match, David Starr runs to the ring and attacks Woods from behind. Starr gets on the mic and introduces himself with a lot of nicknames.

Backstage
Adam Cole won’t beg or plead, but he wants to put differences behind himself and the Young Bucks.

Match 3
ROH TV Title Match
Frankie Kazarian vs “The Villain” Marty Scurll (TV Champ)
(referee: Paul Turner)

Show/Hide Results

Result: Marty Scurll wins via pinfall after Hangman Page hits Kazarian with a chair
Time: 7:17 (1 break)

Match Thoughts
A good match. The ending was full of shenanigans, but I liked it overall. Kazarian seemed to get the better of Scurll for most of the match, but both guys had some nice moves and transitions.

Ring Area
After the match, Christopher Daniels comes out to check on Kazarian. Scurll then gets on the mic and says “the villain does it again.” He says he’s beaten everyone and there’s no more competition. After he puts the mic down, “Reborn” Matt Sydal comes out and heads to the ring. As Sydal enters the ring, Scurll backs away and leaves.

Show Impressions
This was a pretty good show. The matches got better as they went along, and seeing Sydal show up at the end was a nice surprise.

Match of the Night
TV Title Match
Easily the best match. It had the best action and the most intrigue.
