Match 1
Coast to Coast (Leon St. Giovanni & Shaheem Ali) vs The Kingdom (Matt Taven & Vinny Marseglia w/ TK O’Ryan)
(referee: Paul Turner)
Result: Matt Taven pins Shaheem Ali after Angel’s Wings
Time: 3:39 (1 break)
Match Thoughts
This was okay. It was more of a tornado match than a regular tag match. Coast to Coast got a lot of offense early, then Taven turned the tide and The Kingdom took over. It was short, and the finish was mostly for Taven to get a dig in at Christopher Daniels.
Video
Images of The Young Bucks winning the ROH Tag Titles from Matt and Jeff Hardy at Supercard of Honor XI.
Ring Area
The Young Bucks head to the ring. Matt says everything is now right in the world since they got the titles back. Nick is slightly upset that Adam Cole tried to get them fired from The Bullet Club, but Matt reminds him that Bullet Club is for life. Matt then issues an open challenge to any team in the locker room (or anywhere else really).
Mikey and Kenny, The Spirit Squad, comes out and heads to the ring. They want the ROH titles, and they want them now. Mikey and Kenny enter the ring and immediately take a pair of dropkicks.
Match 2
“Reborn” Matt Sydal vs Flip Gordon
(referee: ?)
Result: Matt Sydal wins via pinfall after a Shooting Star Press
Time: 5:47
Match Thoughts
This was pretty good. Flip Gordon has a few too many unnecessary flips and movements for my taste, but he pulled of some good moves here and there. Sydal looked good, though this was hardly a competitive match for him.
Ring Area
After the match, Marty Scurll runs into the ring and attempts to apply a chicken wing to Sydal. Sydal avoids it and kicks Scurll out of the ring.
Ring Area
From the stage, Ian Riccaboni attempts to interview Adam Cole. Cole snatches the mic from Ian and addresses the state of Bullet Club. He says that it was a mistake when he said he “fired” the Young Bucks. Bullet Club is stronger than ever and is the greatest wrestling faction of all time.
Video
Last week, Cody confronted Christopher Daniels.
Match 3
Four Corner Survival Tornado ROH World Title Number One Contender Match
“The Last Real Man” Silas Young vs Hangman Page vs Jay White vs Jay Lethal
(referee: Todd Sinclair; guest commentary: Christopher Daniels)
Result: Jay Lethal pins Silas Young after a Lethal Injection and will be added to the Triple Threat ROH World Title match at War of the Worlds
Time: 13:08 (2 breaks)
Match Thoughts
Good match. There were some nice sequences where everyone got involved. No one ever seemed to have a clear advantage, and the finish came rather unexpectedly (though the winner wasn’t altogether surprising).
Ring Area
After the match, Cody comes out wearing a Christopher Daniels shirt. Daniels, Lethal, and Cody all stare at each other as the show ends.
Show Impressions
I think the matches were slightly better this week than last. Overall, not a bad show.
Match of the Night
Four Corner Survival
I think this was easily the best match. It had the best action for sure.
