Result: Ruby Riot wins via pinfall after a Riot Kick
Time: 7:04 (1 break)

Match Thoughts
Good match. I liked Deville’s repeated attempts at submissions, and I liked Riot’s fight and unique maneuvers. Riot did a springboard cannonball senton that I very much enjoyed. I think these two women work very well together, and this was a satisfying way for both of them to say goodbye to NXT.

Match 2
United Kingdom Title Match
Johnny Gargano vs Pete Dunne (UK Champ)
(referee: Eddie Orengo)

Show/Hide Results

Result: Pete Dunne wins via pinfall after a Bitter End and retains the UK Title
Time: 9:22 (1 break)

Match Thoughts
Very good match. Dunne overpowered Gargano on a number of occasions throughout the match, but Gargano slowly built up a steady offense and began to take control as the match went along. This was a great battle of speed, counters, and power. While this match didn’t really change anything for either guy, it continued to show why they are two of the most exciting wrestlers in NXT (or wherever Pete Dunne is considered to be right now).

Show Impressions
Like most of the post-Takeover episode, this was worth it just for the matches. You can skip everything else and not miss anything important, but missing these matches is something you don’t want to do.

Match of the Night
UK Title Match
Not Dunne’s best title defense, but a great match regardless.
