Match 1
Nikki Cross vs Lacey Evans
(referee: Darryl Sharma)
Result: Nikki Cross wins via pinfall after a swinging fisherman neckbreaker
Time: 2:29
Match Thoughts
This was fun. It was rather short, but it was all about Nikki Cross going nuts on Lacey Evans. Cross attacked Evans with a wild flurry of strikes right from the opening bell, and she barely let up the entire time. Evans fought Cross off a little, but Nikki wouldn’t be held back long. Evans just wasn’t ready for Cross in this one.

Match 2
TM61 vs Ealy Brothers
(referee: Eddie Orengo)
Result: Nick Miller pins Gabriel Ealy after Thunder Valley
Time: 3:18
Match Thoughts
Pretty good match. It was quick, but TM61 was very energetic, fitting a lot of action into just over three minutes. TM61 looked good in their return to an NXT ring. The Ealy brothers didn’t look bad either, but they got a bit steamrolled by TM61.
Backstage
Christy St. Cloud holds a mic while TM61 say that “the mighty don’t kneel.”

Match 3
UK Title Number One Contender Match
Roderick Strong vs Tyler Bate
(referee: Drake Wuertz)
Result: Roderick Strong wins via pinfall after End of Heartache
Time: 8:32 (1 break)
Match Thoughts
Great match! Strong and Bate make for a truly exciting match-up. Bate brought more speed to Strong, and Strong brought more hard-hitting moves to Bate (not that either man lacked in either department). This match got very fast towards the end, and some of the moves and combinations are devastating. I’ll probably be watching this one a few more times.
Show Impressions
This was essentially a wrap-up show for Takeover, but it was quite enjoyable. The main event had a lot to do with that, but the rest of the show kept my interest as well. Sure, there were lots of video packages of stuff I’ve already seen, but I liked the additional footage shown, and the two undercard matches were fun.
Match of the Night
Roderick Strong vs Tyler Bate
This is probably match of the week as well.
