A closer look at Bobby Roode.
Backstage
Kayla and Vic welcome Natalya and Bobby Roode. Team Pawz intends to win it all, and it will be glorious. Natalya assures everyone that Bobby loves cats.
After Team Pawz leaves, Lio Rush walks up. Rush tries to silence rumors by saying that Bobby Lashley and Mickie James are just teammates, and they are going to dominate.
Match 1
Natalya & Bobby Roode vs Mickie James & Bobby Lashley w/ Lio Rush
(referee: Darrick Moore)
Result: Bobby Lashley pins Bobby Roode after a spear
Time: 9:52
Match Thoughts
Pretty good match. It wasn’t as goofy as a lot of the Mixed Match Challenge matches can be, but it was fine.
Selfie Promo
Finn Balor and Bayley’s win next week will be glorious.
Backstage
Kayla Braxton asks Natalya for a comment. Natalya wants Bobby Roode to stay positive despite their start as a team. Asuka walks up and says “we will win.”
Match 2
Asuka & The Miz vs Lana & Rusev
(referee: Jason Ayers)
Result: Asuka forces Lana to submit to the Asuka Lock
Time: 7:56
Match Thoughts
This was fun. It started off kind of silly, but there was also some good action between both pairings. The Miz took advantage of Rusev and Lana’s current problems with Aiden English to get an advantage, and Asuka just used her skill to get an advantage over Lana.
Selfie Promo
Jimmy Uso and Naomi are ready to beat Awe-Ska next week.
Show Impressions
This was pretty good. The second match is worth watching, though the first isn’t one I’d go out of my way to see.
Match of the Night
Ravishing Rusev Day vs Awe-Ska
They continue to win, but I think they’re going to lose before this tournament is over.
