Match 1
Io Shirai & Kairi Sane vs Jessamyn Duke & Marina Shafir
(referee: Jessika Carr)

Show/Hide Results

Result: Kairi Sane pins Marina Shafir after the Insane Elbow
Time: 6:40

Match Thoughts
Good match, and a lot of fun. Shirai and Sane know each other very well, and that makes them fantastic tag partners. They were running circles around Duke and Shafir (almost literally at one point). Shafir showed more in this match than her previous outing, but I do think Duke is still progressing faster. Shafir and Duke looked fine, but they were outclassed tonight.

Clips of Johnny Gargano winning the North American Title at Takeover.

Sarah Schreiber asks Johnny Gargano how it feels to win his first singles title in NXT. Johnny says winning feels great. He loves it.

Clips and highlights of Shayna Baszler defending her title against Bianca Belair at Takeover: Phoenix.

Bianca Belair tells Sarah Schreiber that being undefeated is a state of mind, and she still claims to be un-de-fea-ted. She also tells Sam Roberts to kiss her ass.

Clips of the War Raiders winning the NXT Tag Titles at Takeover: Phoenix.

Cathy Kelley asks War Raiders how satisfying their tag title win was. War Raiders say that the Undisputed Era is over, and the reign of the War Raiders has begun.

Clips of Kassius Ohno versus Matt Riddle at Takeover: Phoenix.

Cathy Kelley asks Matt Riddle how satisfying his victory over Ohno was. Riddle says it wasn’t about the win since he’s beaten Ohno twice before. Takeover was about proving a point, and he did that when he made Ohno tap out.

Clips of the NXT Title match between Tommaso Ciampa and Aleister Black.

After Takeover, Ciampa, Gargano, and Cole brawled with Black, Dream, and Ricochet.

Clips of NXT stars participating in this year’s Royal Rumble matches.

Match 2
Street Profits vs Steve Cutler & Wesley Blake w/ Jaxson Ryker
(referee: Eddie Orengo)

Show/Hide Results

Result: Steve Cutler pins Angelo Dawkins after a tandem diving stomp (Cutler) and inverted DDT (Blake)
Time: 7:17

Match Thoughts
Very good match. This could be a star-making feud for both teams. Street Profits hit some huge and exciting moves as the match was nearing the finish, but the Forgotten Sons used their numbers to gain an unfair advantage. If this feud continues, it could get intense.

Show Impressions
This show was mostly a recap of Takeover, but the matches were both very good. I liked it.

Match of the Night
Street Profits vs Forgotten Sons
I love the team of Shirai and Sane, but their match felt more like a really fun exhibition. The main event was more evenly fought and competitive.
