Last week, the Street Profits faced the War/Viking Raiders for the NXT Tag Titles, but that match was ruined by an attack from The Forgotten Sons.

Backstage
From his office, William Regal informs us that new NXT Tag Champs will be decided in two weeks at Takeover in a four team ladder match: Street Profits vs Forgotten Sons vs Burch & Lorcan vs Fish & O’Reilly

Intro Video
“All Out Life” by Slipknot

Ring Area
All four members of the Undisputed Era head to the ring. Adam Cole addresses the rumors of Undisputed Era’s breakup. They have not broken up, and they are stronger than they have ever been. UE owns everyone in the locker room, and they will not stop until they run NXT. They will take what they want, and they will soon be draped in championship gold. The gold hunt begins at Takeover when Fish and O’Reilly regain the tag titles and Cole wins the NXT Title.

Johnny Gargano comes out to the stage. Gargano says he’ll give Cole a title match, but he wants something from Cole. Gargano says Cole knows he can’t beat Gargano on his own. Cole reminds Gargano that he beat Gargano in the first fall in their two out of three falls match, so Gargano explains math to Cole. Two is greater than one, and that makes Gargano the champ. Cole tells Gargano to shut up.

Cole tells Gargano that the fact that he pinned Gargano in New York is eating Gargano alive, and Cole intends to pin the champ again in New York in two weeks. As Cole talks, Matt Riddle attacks the Undisputed Era from behind. Gargano joins the brawl in the ring, and Riddle and Gargano clear the ring. As UE leaves, Gargano and Riddle fist bump each other.

Match 1
Sean Maluta vs Mansoor
(referee: Jessika Carr)

Show/Hide Results

Result: Mansoor wins via pinfall with an inverted facelock spun into a cutter
Time: 2:51

Match Thoughts
This was pretty good. It was very short, but it was a nice exhibition for Mansoor. He has some neat moves, so it will be nice to see if he can put those to good use in a good/competitive match.

Backstage
Cathy Kelley tries to get a word from Undisputed Era after hearing them yelling in William Regal’s office, but they don’t even notice her. Cathy then asks William Regal what just happened. Regal says that he told UE that their conduct is unacceptable. He also says he made a match between Matt Riddle and Roderick Strong set for Takeover. And tonight, Fish and O’Reilly will face Riddle and Gargano in a tag match.

Ring Area
Velveteen Dream heads to the ring. He’s says the Dream is still in high demand, and when you say the Dream’s name, you better say it correctly. Dream is interrupted as Tyler Breeze heads to the ring.

Breeze says Prince Pretty is home, and much like the Dream, Breeze had everyone talking about him when he was in NXT. Breeze is flattered by Dream’s imitation of him, but there can be only one Tyler Breeze. The NXT North American Champ welcomes Breeze back to the Dream’s NXT. Dream says NXT wants a real man, not a boy who plays cops and robbers. Dream tells Breeze to go back home where he belongs.

Breeze tells Dream that he inspires Breeze. The North American Title inspires Breeze, and an inspired Tyler Breeze is too much to handle. Dream tells Breeze that the line for the North American Title starts outside, so that’s where Breeze should go if he wants a shot. But before he goes, maybe Breeze wants a selfie with the champ. Breeze considers Dream’s selfie offer and accepts. As they selfie together, Breeze punches Dream in the face. Breeze smiles as he walks away.

Outside the Venue
Cathey Kelley asks Tyler Breeze why he attacked Velveteen Dream in the ring. Breeze says he’s an NXT original, and he just wanted to introduce Dream to an inspired Tyler Breeze.

Match 2
Candice LeRae vs Reina Gonzalez
(referee: Darryl Sharma)

Show/Hide Results

Result: Candice LeRae wins via pinfall after a springboard moonsault
Time: 3:16

Match Thoughts
This was pretty good. It was short, and when Reina was in control of the match is wasn’t completely convincing. LeRae looked good however, and I know Reina can have a better match.

Ring Area
After the match, Shayna Baszler, Jessamyn Duke, and Marina Shafir head to the ring. They beat up LeRae, but Io Shirai quickly runs down to the ring, and she’s carrying a kendo stick. Shirai repeatedly hits Baszler, Shafir, and Duke until they all three escape from the ring.

Match 3
Matt Riddle & Johnny Gargano (NXT Champ) vs Kyle O’Reilly & Bobby Fish
(referee: Drake Wuertz)

Show/Hide Results

Result: Bobby Fish pins Matt Riddle after the High & Low (and a distraction from Adam Cole as well as an attack from Roderick Strong)
Time: 13:26

Match Thoughts
Very good match. All four men matched up incredibly well, and they all had great moments in the ring. Riddle went on a rampage for a while, but his hurting ribs derailed his momentum. As the match went on, it seemed like Gargano and Riddle were pulling ahead, but Cole and Strong made involved themselves in the proceedings and changed the momentum of the match.

Ring Area
After the match, the Undisputed Era beats up Gargano and Riddle.

Show Impressions
There was a lot of talking on this episode, but it was all good and set up some exciting matches. As for tonight’s matches, the main event was good, and the undercard was fine.

Match of the Night
Riddle & Gargano vs Fish & O’Reilly
This was a good match and a good lead-in for Takeover in just under two weeks.
