Match 1
Mia Yim vs Bianca Belair
(referee: Jessika Carr)

Show/Hide Results

Result: Mia Yim wins via pinfall after Protect Ya Neck
Time: 10:09

Match Thoughts
Good match. They were given a good amount of time to build the action up, and I think they did a good job of it. It felt like Mia Yim had something to prove, and it felt like Bianca Belair was the complete opposite. Belair didn’t seem to take Yim too seriously, and that opened things up to allow Yim to capitalize. This was a good back and forth match, and I liked the finish.

Buildup for the Breeze versus Cream North American Title match coming up at Takeover.

Backstage
Earlier today, Shayna Baszler says Io Shirai has run out of friends, but Shayn is going to have Shafir and Duke by her side at Takeover.

Match 2
KUSHIDA vs Drew Gulak
(referee: DA Brewer)

Show/Hide Results

Result: KUSHIDA wins via pinfall with a Gedo clutch
Time: 8:15

Match Thoughts
Very good match. KUSHIDA and Gulak put on a mat wrestling clinic tonight. They were both evenly matched in terms of technical skills, and they went hold for hold and counter for counter. There were a lot of little things that both men did in this match that were fantastic to watch. I’ll definitely be watching this again and again.

Backstage
Cathy Kelley asks Io Shirai if she’s concerned about her match against Baszler. Shirai says she isn’t afraid of Baszler or her friends, and she doesn’t need a kendo stick to beat the champ. Candice LeRae walks up and thanks Shirai for helping her last week. LeRae also tells Shirai that she’ll have Shirai’s back during her title match.

Video
A look at Johnny Gargano and Adam Cole and their paths to the NXT Title match this coming weekend.

Match 3
Oney Lorcan & Danny Burch vs Steve Cutler & Wesley Blake w/ Jaxson Ryer
(referee: Eddie Orengo)

Show/Hide Results

Result: the match ends in a No Contest when the Street Profits run in and attack everyone
Time: 2:10

Match Thoughts
This match had barely gotten going before the Street Profits came out and attacked everyone.

Ring Area
After the match, the Street Profits continue their attack on the Forgotten Sons. When the Forgotten Sons are cleared from the ring, the Profits face off with Burch and Lorcan. Both teams fight their way out of the ring.

On the stage, Jaxson Ryker is attacked by Adam Cole and Roderick Strong as they emerge from the back. Cutler and Blake leave the ring to head up to the stage, but Kyle O’Reilly and Bobby Fish ambush them. All together, the Undisputed Era beat up all three of the Forgotten Sons. Back up on the stage, the Undisputed Era set up a ladder and poses.

Show Impressions
I liked this show. The main event segment was story-heavy and unsurprising, but it worked to build some more interest in the tag match. The best part about this match were the two undercard matches. Both of those matches were quite good, and they both felt important.

Match of the Night
KUSHIDA vs Drew Gulak
I loved this, and I think I’ll enjoy it even more the next time I watch it.
