Ring Area
Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods head to the ring. Kofi says life is crazy. There heave been a lot of highs over the last few months, but there have also been a lot of lows. Kofi stays positive though. He became champ at Wrestlemania, and as great as that was, he also loves that he can inspire people.

Video
Kofi visited his birthplace of Ghana for the first time in decades.

Ring Area
Kofi talks about seeing family he’d never seen before and inspiring kids everywhere he went. Dolph Ziggler interrupts and comes out to the stage. Ziggler says this isn’t about Kofi, it’s about Ziggler.

Video
What about Dolph Ziggler? Ziggler has been winning titles and beating champs for fourteen years, but he’s gotten nothing in return.

Ring Area
Ziggler says he’s given everything to WWE, but it’s Kofi who gets to have the Wrestlemania moment. It should be Ziggler. Kofi understands where Ziggler is coming from. Kofi knows exactly what it’s like to be passed over time and time again. Kofi then shows footage of the time when Ziggler willingly vacated the US Title in 2017.

Kofi says that if it should have been Ziggler, then it would have been. But Ziggler quit and took himself out of the game. Kofi never quit. As long as Kofi is WWE champ, it will never be Ziggler. Ziggler then shows footage of him beating up Kofi two weeks ago. Ziggler says that on Friday, it will be him.

Ziggler leaves as Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn head to the ring for a match.

Match Thoughts
Good match. It didn’t feel important in any way, but I enjoyed it.

Ring Area
After the match, Dolph Ziggler appears and attacks both Woods and Kingston.

Backstage
Shane McMahon says anything Reigns can do, he can do better. He also says he’s going to call out Reigns in the ring tonight.

Ring Area
Alexa Bliss comes out to the stage for A Moment of Bliss.

Alexa welcomes Bayley who comes out to the stage. Alexa doesn’t really ask Bayley any questions at first. Instead, Alexa talks about how the SmackDown Women’s Title meant something when she had it. Does Bayley think the SmackDown Title means anything now that Bayley has it? As Bayley responds, Alexa cuts her off as she waits for her coffee to be brought back out. Bayley slaps Alexa.

As things get tense, Carmella comes out to the stage. Carmella tells Alexa that she can’t just come over from RAW and challenge the SmackDown Women’s Champ. Alexa takes that as a direct challenge, but before Carmella can respond Charlotte Flair comes out to the stage.

Charlotte informs everyone that there will be a number one contender match tonight: Carmella vs Alexa vs Charlotte.

Backstage
R-Truth tells Carmella that he’s been waiting for Shane to call him back about the 24/7 Title. Carmella’s phone rings. It’s Shane. R-Truth tells Shane that the 24/7 Title is ruining his life. Apparently, Shane has made a match for R-Truth right now.

Match Thoughts
There was one move in the match. Two if you count the pin attempt.

Ring Area
After the match, all the lumberjacks climb into the ring and attack Elias. Elias sneaks away only to end up under the ring with R-Truth. R-Truth wins the title back underneath the ring. R-Truth then escapes out through the crowd.

Backstage
Shane McMahon walks in the back.

Backstage
Aleister Black thinks it’s either cowardice or intelligence that has prevented anyone from challenging him to a fight. Until that happens, he will wait patiently.

Ring Area
Shane McMahon heads to the ring, and he has The Revival with him. Shane watches a replay of himself helping beat up Reigns last night on RAW. Shane then talks about training dogs so he can say that he’s going to neuter Reigns this Friday.

Roman Reigns heads to the ring. The Revival try to intercept him, but they are quickly dealt with. Reigns walks down the ramp, but he is hit with a surprise Claymore Kick from Drew McIntyre as he gets to ringside. Drew rolls Reigns into the ring so Shane can spear him. Shane jumps around and yells.

Match 3
SmackDown Women’s Title Number One Contender Match
Charlotte Flair vs Carmella vs Alexa Bliss
(referee: Danilo Anfibio)

Show/Hide Results

Result: Alexa Bliss pins Carmella after a DDT (and some interference from Rose and Deville)
Time: 8:47

Match Thoughts
Good match. There were some tense moments that were well done. I didn’t really care who won since I think any of the three of them can have an entertaining match with Bayley, but I did want to see someone new(ish) getting a title shot. So yeah, I wasn’t pulling FOR anyone, but I was kind of pulling against Charlotte. I think the addition of having Rose and Deville at ringside added an interesting element. I was just waiting to see what they would do, and that was kind of fun.

Ring Area
A nervous Kayla Braxton introduces Lars Sullivan. Sullivan heads to the ring.

Kayla asks Lars why he does what he does. Lars asks Kayla if she would ask a nightingale why it sings. No? Then why asks Lars what drives a man like him? Lars says he’s realized that he is no man though. When a lion does what a lion does, people call it a lion. When Sullivan does what he does, he is called a certain five-letter F word.

Ring Area
Andrade and Zelina Vega head to the ring for a match. Apollo Crews comes out next, but before the match an begin, Andrade attacks Apollo. Andrade quickly puts Apollo n with a hammerlock DDT. Finn Balor runs down to the ring, but Andrade quickly dispatches Balor as well. Andrade and Zelina Vega celebrate as they leave the ring.

Ring Area
Goldberg heads to the ring. Goldberg says he’s been waiting 20 years to experience what it would be like to face The Undertaker in the ring. Last night, Undertaker said he wants to share the ring with the Goldberg who went 173-0. Goldberg appreciates that. He says Undertaker is right. The “family man Goldberg” would not be able to beat Undertaker. However, Goldberg guarantees that the “ass-kicking Goldberg” will show up on Friday. Undertaker “is next to rest in peace.”

The lights go out, and Undertaker appears in the ring. Goldberg turns and faces Undertaker. The lights go out again. When the lights come back up, Undertaker is gone.

Show Impressions
This show was mostly pretty good. I liked the opening segments with Kofi well enough. I enjoyed the women’s title stuff. The 24/7 Title stuff was entertaining. I didn’t care about the Shane McMahon stuff, the Lars Sullivan speech, or the Goldberg segment, but those were shorter than the stuff I did enjoy.

Match of the Night
Woods & Kingston vs Owens & Zayn
The women’s triple threat was maybe more surprising, but I think I enjoyed this tag match more.
