Match 1
Candice LeRae & Io Shirai vs Jessamyn Duke & Marina Shafir w/ Shayna Baszler (NXT Women’s Champ)
(referee: Jessika Carr)

Show/Hide Results

Result: the match ends in a No Contest when everyone brawls at ringside
Time: 5:46

Match Thoughts
Good match. I really liked this a lot. LeRae started the match for her team, and she did well against both Shafir and Duke. The numbers got to her though, and she had to tag out. When Shirai got into the match, her goal seemed to be to make a statement for Baszler who was standing on the ramp watching. Shirai made an example of Duke which pissed Baszler off. That drew Baszler to the ring where Shirai attacked her and stared a five-woman brawl.

Ring Area
the brawl that ended the match continues after the bell. Shirai fights Baszler out through the crowd while LeRae takes on Shafir and Duke on the ramp. All five women are still fighting as the show moves on.

Match 2
Submission Match
KUSHIDA vs Drew Gulak
(referee: Jessika Carr)

Show/Hide Results

Result: KUSHIDA wins via submission with the Hoverboard Lock
Time: 10:08

Match Thoughts
Great match. Both guys were inventive and deliberate in their attacks, and I loved watching it. As antagonistic as their characters are towards each other, the way both men wrestled seemed to show a lot of respect they have for each other’s abilities. I’d watch this matchup again and again.

Match 3
Kyle O’Reilly & Roderick Strong w/ Bobby Fish vs Danny Burch & Oney Lorcan
(referee: Eddie Orengo)

Show/Hide Results

Result: Danny Burch pins Kyle O’Reilly with a schoolboy (after a distraction from Jaxson Ryker)
Time: 9:44

Match Thoughts
Very good match. I don’t think these teams can really have anything less than a very good match against each other. The finish had some shenanigans when Jaxson Ryker decided to come down to ringside, but other than that, I really enjoyed this match.

Show Impressions
This was a very good match. It looked like they taped it at a house show, but all that really meant was that there would be less story line segments and more wrestling (not that NXT is usually ever short on wrestling). The main event did have some minor story shenanigans, but it was 95% shenanigan-free otherwise.

Match of the Night
Drew Gulak vs KUSHIDA
I really enjoy this style of wrestling, and I really enjoy watching both of these men wrestle.
