Intro Video
“All Out Life” by Slipknot

Ring Area
Dressed in black with new music, Io Shirai heads to the ring. Shirai says she doesn’t need any friends, and she doesn’t need any of us. Then she drops the mic and leaves the ring.

Backstage
Velveteen Dream addresses “the press” and answers questions. Or rather, Dream sort of answers one questions by saying that Roderick Strong got lucky.

Match 1
Damian Priest vs Blanco Loco
(referee: Jessika Carr)

Show/Hide Results

Result: Damian Priest wins via pinfall after The Reckoning
Time: 1:40

Match Thoughts
Squash. I’m still not impressed by Priest.

Video
Killian Dain watches some films. He could tell us stories of violence.

Match 2
NXT Breakout Tournament First Round Match
BOA vs Jordan Myles
(referee: Drake Wuertz)

Show/Hide Results

Result: Jordan Myles wins via pinfall after the Midnight Star (450 splash)
Time: 8:22

Match Thoughts
Good match. Myles started the match extremely confident, but that confidence caused him to get overconfident, and he caught by BOA partway through the match. It took BOA a while to get going, but a few minutes into the match he started showing a nice combination of kicks and throws. Of course, BOA had the size advantage in the match which helped him look impressive, but still, BOA looked good. Myles looked better though, and he put together some very fun sequences at both ends of the match.

Backstage
Shayna Baszler says Mia Yim has a great story, but Shayna’s heard her story before. When Yim faces Baszler the story will be the same as anyone else: snap or tap.

Backstage
Oney Lorcan and Danny Burch prepare for their match.

Backstage
The Street Profits also prepare for their match.

Video
Keith Lee walks around the Performance Center and contemplates his time in NXT. Lee has never been the chosen one, but he’s always the one who ends up on top. In his next year in NXT, there will have to be some changes. Lee will be the one at the top. Keith Lee will be infinite.

Outside the Venue
Earlier today, William Regal announced that Apollo Crews will come to NXT and face KUSHIDA.

Match 3
NXT Tag Team Title Match
Danny Burch & Oney Lorcan vs Street Profits (NXT Tag Champs)
(referee: DA Brewer)

Show/Hide Results

Result: Angelo Dawkins pins Danny Burch after a spine buster (Dawkins) and a frog splash (Ford)
Time: 10:00

Match Thoughts
Great match. The Street Profits seemed to want to control the match at a rather methodical pace, but Lorcan and Burch pushed Ford and Dawkins into a fast and chaotic battle partway through the match. The Street Profits were up to the challenge, and they countered the hard strikes and suplexes of Burch and Lorcan with great teamwork and some fabulously agile moves from Ford. The match raced to its finish with some very fun moments in a huge breakdown that had everyone flying around the ring.

Ring Area
After the match, Kyle O’Reilly and Bobby Fish come out to the stage and stare down at the winners of the title match.

Show Impressions
I liked this show. I love the brief look we got of the new Io Shirai, the NXT Breakout match was super fun, and the tag title match was great. I didn’t care for the Damian Priest segment, but I thoroughly enjoyed everything else.

Match of the Night
Burch & Lorcan vs Street Profits
It’s too bad the Street Profits can’t wrestler like this on RAW. Or, you know, it’s too bad they haven’t wrestled at all on RAW.
