Result: KUSHIDA submits Brian Kendrick with the Sakuraba Lock
Time: 9:10

Match Thoughts
Very good match. The addition of KUSHIDA to this ongoing feud (even if KUSHIDA is just here for one night) made this match feel even more special. KUSHIDA brought a different style to the 205 Live ring, but his style works incredibly well alongside Gallagher’s. KUSHIDA and Gallagher make an incredibly fun team to watch, and they looked great as Kendrick and Tozawa tried to figure out how to deal with them. Kendrick and Tozawa managed to dominate Gallagher in the middle part of the match, and that led to a fun breakdown at the end.

Backstage
Still in Bollywood, the Singh brothers talk about deserving more than what they’ve been given. They want it all, and their study sessions have proven that they can get it.

Backstage
Sarah Schreiber welcomes Mike Kanellis. Mike is frustrated that he beat Nese last week, but Nese is in tonight’s main event while Kanellis is doing nothing on tonight’s show. Maria Kanellis walks up and tells him that he’s pathetic for taking advantage of Tony Nese. Mike is now more frustrated.

Ring Area
Humberto Carrillo and Lince Dorado come out for a tag match against Tony Nese and Drew Gulak. Gulak and Nese attack Carrillo and Dorado on the ramp, and the brawl makes its way down to ringside. Ariya Daivari runs out and attacks Dorado, then Gran Metalik runs down to even the odds for Dorado and Carrillo. After a short brawl, Carrillo gets on the mic and says this next match should be a six-man tag. Gulak accepts.

Result: Lince Dorado pins Drew Gulak after a shooting star press

Match Thoughts
This was fun. The crowd got distracted by something outside the ring for a long time, but the guys in the ring (specifically Drew Gulak) did a good job of taking advantage of that situation and getting the crowd to pay attention to them. The pre-match brawl made this match feel very energetic, and that energy carried through for pretty much all of the match’s long runtime. By the end of the match, the crowd was back into it and the finish felt good. It definitely did a nice job of setting up the Cruiserweight Title match on Sunday.

Show Impressions
I liked this show. The surprise of seeing KUSHIDA was very welcome, and the main event did a great job of highlighting and mostly protecting the competitors in the upcoming title match.

Match of the Night
Kendrick & Tozawa vs Gallagher & KUSHIDA
Part of me picking this as my favorite of the night is just because KUSHIDA is one of my favorites, so the surprise of seeing him in a match with some of my 205 Live favorites was great. But also, the little things that everyone did in the ring, the stuff that the commentators tended to gloss over as they talked about other shows and other wrestlers, are what made me pick this match. All four of these guys are great technical wrestlers, and they showed that tonight by paying attention to the details that make a good match great.
