“Dynamite” by No One Hero
Match 1
AEW World Tag Team Title Match
“Superbad” Kip Sabian w/ Penelope Ford & Jimmy Havoc vs “Hangman” Adam Page & Kenny Omega (Tag Champs)
(referee: Rick Knox)
Result: Adam Page pins Jimmy Havoc after the Last Call
Time: 13:37
Match Thoughts
Great match. Page and Omega were working together very well to start the match, but they had difficulty putting the challengers away. In the later stages of the match, Sabian and Havoc were on fire. They were tagging in and out constantly, and they managed to isolate and beat down both Page and Omega at the same time. It was great to see, and even though I never really though Page and Omega would lose the titles tonight, Sabian and Havoc definitely made this a worthwhile and important title defense.

Earlier this week on social media, Tully Blanchard yelled at Shawn Spears to change something if he wants to make a legacy for himself.

Earlier today, Tully Blanchard gave Shawn Spears a black glove, saying it’s the missing piece Spears has been looking for.
Match 2
Shawn Dean vs Brian Cage w/ Taz
(referee: Paul Turner)
Result: Brian Cage wins via pinfall after the Drill Claw
Time: 1:38
Match Thoughts
Squash.
Ring Area
After the match, Taz pulls the curtain back a little bit. He talks about a conversation he had with Cage earlier. They were discussing last week when Taz was talking to Jon Moxley, and how Taz was angry at the disrespect Moxley showed him by smiling and snickering.
Jon Moxley heads to the ring. Taz warns Moxley to be careful before he enters the ring, and Moxley just smiles. Moxley explains that he was smiling last week and he’s smiling now because he’s looking forward to the fight Brian Cage will bring to him. Moxley says he can be beat, but taking the AEW Title away from him is a different prospect entirely. Also, Moxley won’t ever be intimidated.
Outside the Venue
Earlier today, Alex Marvez found Lance Archer beating up a masked wrestler in what appears to be some sort of construction site (or deconstruction site). Archer says one loss doesn’t mean anything to him. He came to AEW to be a monster, and that’s what he’ll continue to do. Jake Roberts got really nervous for Marvez’s wellbeing next to Archer.
Backstage
Earlier today, Marq Quen and Isaiah Kassidy had some drinks with each other when Matt Hardy (Team Extreme style) showed up. Hardy told Private Party that their bond reminds him of his bond with his brother. Private Party lose their minds. Kassidy proposes the “Hardy Party,” and Matt seems to like it. Matt smiles as he walks away.
Outside the bar, Matt encounters Sammy Guevara. Guevara just stares as Matt bows and says “we’re cool.” Guevara is confused as Matt walks away.

Match 3
Colt “Boom Boom” Cabana vs “Le Champion” Chris Jericho w/ Sammy Guevara, Jake Hager
(referee: Aubrey Edwards)
Result: Chris Jericho wins via pinfall after the Judas Effect
Time: 6:49 (1 break)
Match Thoughts
Very good match. Jericho wanted this match because he blamed Colt Cabana for holding him back last week when Jericho and Tyson were have a brawl/shouting contest (despite the fact that Cabana was only one of many people who were holding Jericho back). Cabana did very well early in the match, but Jake Hager made his presence felt at ringside. That forced Cabana to regroup, but he still looked strong against Jericho. This was a nice match for both guys.
Ring Area
After the match, Chris Jericho tells everyone to shut up. He says what happened to Colt Cabana is going to happen to Mike Tyson. Jericho is ready to fight Tyson, and he’s going to wait. Jericho calls out Mike Tyson right now. Specifically, Jericho calls out “the baddest man on the planet,” so Orange Cassidy comes out and heads to the ring.
Hager and Jericho attack, but Cassidy avoids all contact. Cassidy rolls out to ringside where he is lifted over the barricade by Best Friends. Santana and Ortiz come out to back up the rest of the Inner Circle, but Best Friends and Orange Cassidy walk away.

Britt Baker rolls down the road to recovery with the help of Rebel and Dr. Samson… and Tony Schiavone.
Match 4
Big Swole vs Nyla Rose
(referee: Paul Turner)
Result: Nyla Rose wins via pinfall after a sit-out spinebuster
Time: 6:32 (1 break)
Match Thoughts
Good match. This was a rebound match for Rose after her title loss at Double or Nothing, but Big Swole looked good tonight. Swole hasn’t had a match in AEW for a while, so it was important the she had a good showing, and she did. Swole outsmarted and outmaneuvered Rose on more than a few occasions, and she made the former champ work for all the offense she got.
Ring Area
After the match, Tony Schiavone tells Big Swole it’s good to have her back in the ring. As Swole responds, Britt Baker starts yelling. Baker has Rebel drive the “Role’s Royce” cart she’s in into the barricade next to Swole. Swole responds by grabbing a chair and going after Baker, so Baker has Rebel drive away.
Backstage
Earlier today, Tony Schiavone asks Darby Allin about his injury and if he thinks being injured in the ladder match with Brian Cage has anything to do with the interviews Taz did with Allin a few weeks ago. Allin responds by saying life’s a big joke, and he’ll have the last laugh.
Video
Tony Schiavone sits down with FTR. Questions include: what does FTR mean, who would FTR like to face, and what FTR think of the Young Bucks. (Side note: Schiavone is wearing Super Mario Bros. socks.)
After the interview, The Butcher and The Blade show up and try to start a fight. FTR say that attacking The Butcher and The Blade was just business, but if they want to settle things, how about settling them in the ring?
Backstage
Alex Marvez welcomes Colt Cabana. Cabana seems frustrated that he keeps having good showings, but he hasn’t gotten any big wins in AEW. Brodie Lee walks up and tells Cabana that he can help. Cabana says he doesn’t want anything to do with Dark Order, but his face indicates that he’s thinking about it.
Match 5
TNT Title Match
Jungle Boy vs “The American Nightmare” Cody (TNT Champ) w/ Arn Anderson
(referee: Bryce Remsburg)
Result: Cody wins via pinfall after CrossRhodes
Time: 10:11 (1 break)
Match Thoughts
Great match! Cody was especially aggressive in this match, and that pushed Jungle Boy to be more aggressive than usual as well. It really seemed like they wanted to make this first defense of the TNT Title to be something special, and I think they did that. There were more than a few memorable moments in this match, and it set the bar very high for the TNT Title. I think this match was easily better than either Cody’s or Jungle Boy’s at Double or Nothing.
Show Impressions
This was a very good show. I think bookending it with two title matches helped make the show feel important, and the stuff in the middle was mostly very good at building up people or story lines.
Match of the Night
Cody vs Jungle Boy
Marq Quen has a tough task next week when he challenges for the TNT Title if he wants to top this match.
