SmackDown Live Recap & Review – Episode 1004
The final SmackDown Live before Survivor Series certainly was interesting. It finalized some matches for Sunday while feeling like it changed everything.
The final SmackDown Live before Survivor Series certainly was interesting. It finalized some matches for Sunday while feeling like it changed everything.
The men’s and women’s Survivor Series teams are decided on a very entertaining show that also featured New Day vs The Usos, Almas vs Mysterio, Samoa Joe vs Jeff Hardy, and Becky Lynch vs someone we hadn’t yet seen on the SmackDown roster.
SmackDown puts its focus on Crown Jewel in an entertaining show that featured a rare WWE Title Match on regular TV.
SmackDown reaches 1,000 episodes with a fun night of appearances, returns, nostalgia, and a few good matches.
Two men qualify for the WWE World Cup, Becky Lynch and Charlotte attempt to destroy each other in a title rematch, Aiden English is caught in a lie, The Miz tries to get between AJ Styles and Daniel Bryan, and more on a pretty good episode of SmackDown Live.
Hell in a Cell 2018 featured some surprisingly great undercard matches and some not as good (but still pretty enjoyable) main events.
Maryse returns to the ring to take on Brie Bella, a new number one contender for the SmackDown tag titles is decided, Jeff Hardy attempts to cleanse himself of Shinsuke Nakamura prior to his battle with Randy Orton, and more on a pretty good episode of SmackDown Live.
The Miz and Maryse attempt to avoid Daniel Bryan and Brie Bella (while claiming otherwise) on an okay SmackDown that had a good triple threat tag match and an interesting main event.
Carmella gets her rematch, Bryan and Almas face each other for the first time, the journey to find a new contender for the tag titles begins, and New Day meets King Booker in a pretty good episode of SmackDown Live.
New Day gets another shot at the tag titles in a No DQ match against the Bludgeon Brothers in a good episode of SmackDown Live containing lots of Summer Slam fallout.
The final SmackDown before Summer Slam promoted all the matches from the blue side, though it didn’t really advance anything in any significant way.
Jeff Hardy faces Daniel Bryan, two more women qualify for Money in the Bank, new contenders for the tag titles are named, and New Day refuses to answer Miz’s questions on a good episode of SmackDown Live.
SmackDown starts getting ready for Money in the Bank with three qualifying matches including a good main event featuring Daniel Bryan versus Rusev.
Despite Backlash being an underwhelming show, there were some matches and moments that make it a show worth watching (or at least skipping through).
The last SmackDown before Backlash was light on wrestling, but it did have a couple of matches definitely worth checking out.
While the Greatest Royal Rumble was very long and ultimately didn’t mean much, there were some fun moments and good matches on the show.
The Club reunites to take on Shinsuke Nakamura and Rusev Day in the main event of an alright episode of SmackDown Live.
The second day of the Superstar Shakeup shapes an impressive SmackDown Live roster and already begins to deliver some intriguing match-ups.
The Superstar Shakeup brings the promise of new feuds, though this episode of RAW was more about spectacle than action.
The RAW after Wrestlemania brings some new faces and surprises (some more exciting than others), but one superstar appears to be at the end of her time in the ring.
