SmackDown reaches 1,000 episodes with a fun night of appearances, returns, nostalgia, and a few good matches.
While the Greatest Royal Rumble was very long and ultimately didn’t mean much, there were some fun moments and good matches on the show.
Two fun battle royals and a great Cruiserweight Title match make this a nice warm-up for Wrestlemania 34!
RAW 25 is a show packed with nostalgia and a ton of familiar faces!
This was a long Kickoff and wasn’t necessary for watching Survivor Series, but it did have three decent matches which is nice.
Tye Dillinger attempts to silence Aiden English in a surprsingly good warmup match on a decent pre-show for this year’s Battleground PPV.
Enzo & Cass face Gallows & Anderson, and The Miz welcomes Finn Balor to Miz TV in a pretty average, but fine, warmup to the Payback PPV.
This is a very long show, and with any show of this length, there are good and not so good parts. Overall, this is probably a middle-of-the-road Wrestlemania, but there is definitely some fun to be had here. Watching it all in one sitting might leave you a bit exhausted though.
With a lot of talking and three matches of varying quality, this was a pretty average kickoff show. Though the good parts were quite entertaining, there weren’t a ton of them considering the two-hour running time of the show.
While the results make this show feel like more of the same from WWE, the show itself was entertaining. It wasn’t the best Royal Rumble in history, but the Rumble match itself was fine, and Styles versus Cena stole the show.
Though it felt long at two hours, the three matches helped make this a pretty good way to kick off the 2017 Royal Rumble.
A couple of good Hell in a Cell matches make this a decent show.
The cruiserweights kick off Hell in a Cell in a fine fashion.
This year’s No Mercy was pretty good, with the good matches being very good. The placement of matches seemed odd, but that didn’t hurt the show too much.
A big eight-man tag match featuring American Alpha, Hype Bros, The Vaudevillains, and The Ascension served as a good warmup for the second SmackDown Live PPV.
This year’s Clash of Champions was entertaining enough, but nothing seemed to get resolved in any of the storylines going into it.
Alicia Fox takes on Nia Jax during a fine kickoff show.
The best of Backlash wasn’t as good as the best of Summer Slam, but this was an enjoyable show and a good start to the brand exclusive PPVs.
A good kickoff with a surprisingly good match between Baron Corbin and Apollo Crews.
