This year’s Backlash wasn’t great, but it did have some entertaining matches and a few mild surprises.

SmackDown Recap & Review – Episode 926
The last SmackDown before Backlash didn’t provide anything new, but it had a pretty good opening match and a fun new episode of Breezango’s “Fashion Files.”
SmackDown Recap & Review – Episode 925
A big six-man tag match highlights a pretty good episode of SmackDown that also featured a special London edition of “Fashion Files” and a great promo from The Usos.
SmackDown Recap & Review – Episode 924
On his first night as a member of SmackDown, Jericho must defend his US Title in a rematch against Kevin Owens.
SmackDown Recap & Review – Episode 923
This was an okay show with some interesting moves from certain superstars.
Wrestlemania 2017 Kickoff – Recap & Review
With a lot of talking and three matches of varying quality, this was a pretty average kickoff show. Though the good parts were quite entertaining, there weren’t a ton of them considering the two-hour running time of the show.
SmackDown Recap & Review – Episode 914
This was a SmackDown with potential, but unfortunately the execution wasn’t there.
Elimination Chamber Recap & Review
A pretty good show that god better towards the end. A few matches felt like they were looking past this show and towards Wrestlemania, but the last few matches of the night made up for that.
SmackDown Recap & Review – Episode 899
Team SmackDown gets shaken up less than two weeks before Survivor Series, and Becky Lynch puts her title on the line against Alexa Bliss.
Main Event Recap & Review – Episode 214
Breezango faces the SmackDown tag champs and Jack Swagger battles Simon Gotch in an okay episode of Main Event.
Main Event Recap & Review – Episode 212
Zack Ryder takes on Tyler Breeze and American Alpha faces The Ascension in a predictable but pretty entertaining episode of Main Event.
Main Event Recap & Review – Episode 208
The cruiserweights debut on Main Event with Rich Swann vs Lince Dorado in a rematch from the second round of the CWC. Also, the SmackDown tag champs Heath Slater and Rhyno take on the gorgeous teamwork of Breezango in one of the better episodes of Main Event in recent memory.
Main Event Recap & Review – Episode 207
The matches were kind of short, but I the show was fun. A lot of it has to do with Breezango.
SmackDown Recap & Review – Episode 890
The Usos make a statement in an okay episode of SmackDown.
Main Event Recap & Review – Episode 205
Jey Uso versus Konnor and American Alpha versus Breezango are featured on a pretty good episode of Main Event.
SmackDown Recap & Review – Episode 888
Two new titles are revealed, a tag title tournament starts, Carmella makes people notice her, and a new number one contender for the World Title is named is a good episode of SmackDown.
Summer Slam Kickoff Recap & Review
Sheamus and Cesaro start their best-of-seven series in a match that highlights a nice warm-up for Summer Slam.
SmackDown Recap & Review – Episode 887
A pretty good show that does well to build (or at least maintain) some interest in Summer Slam, specifically the big matches.
Main Event Recap & Review – Episode 202
An entertaining yet strange show. It was 50/50 RAW and SmackDown.
Main Event Recap & Review – Episode 201
Jey Uso and Tyler Breeze have an entertaining rematch from last week’s show, and the Hype Bros debut as a team on the main roster against The Ascension in a match that is way better than it could have been.
