Buddy Murphy faces Roman Reigns in a nice SmackDown in-ring debut for Murphy, Shane McMahon annoys Kevin Owens again, Orton and The Revival team up to take on New Day, and Ember Moon battles Charlotte Flair in a good episode of SmackDown Live.
This good episode of RAW featured a surprise return, a champ versus champ match, and a fun underdog match between Cedric Alexander and Drew McIntyre among other varied moments.
This year’s SummerSlam was a mostly good show. It featured some fun moments and had a few very entertaining matches, including the main event of Seth Rollins versus Brock Lesnar for the WWE Universal Title.
The Cruiserweight Title and Women’s Tag Titles are on the line on a good kickoff show for this year’s SummerSlam.
Adam Cole puts his title on the line against Johnny Gargano in a 2 out of 3 falls match with three different stipuations in another fun NXT TakeOver.
Cedric Alexander faces Oney Lorcan in what is likely Alexander’s final 205 Live match, and a fatal four way has four men fighting for position within the cruiserweight division in a good episode of 205 Live.
The second day of the Superstar Shakeup has some interesting SmackDown debuts and Vince McMahon’s “greatest SmackDown acquisition.”
The first half of the Superstar Shakeup brought some big names to RAW, so now we will wait and see where their new paths will take them.

The last SmackDown before Backlash was light on wrestling, but it did have a couple of matches definitely worth checking out.
RAW ventures to Canada where Owens and Zayn are treated like heroes, Titus O’Neil makes fun of himself, Sasha Banks takes on The Riott Squad, and Balor convinces Rollins to put his IC Title on the line!
With a couple of non-title matches and a lot of talking, this week’s SmackDown was pretty good, but not as good as last week.
Summer Slam continues to shape up as Roman Reigns takes on Braun Strowman in a Last Man Standing Match, Rollins and Ambrose take on Sheamus and Cesaro in respective singles matches, the women’s division begins to determine a contender for the title, and more!
