SmackDown Recap & Review – Episode 1050
The first episode of SmackDown on Fox had some fun moments, lots of guests (including The Rock), at least one good match, and a title match that sent a wave of anger through my body.

This year’s SummerSlam was a mostly good show. It featured some fun moments and had a few very entertaining matches, including the main event of Seth Rollins versus Brock Lesnar for the WWE Universal Title.
Ziggler signs a contract without reading it, the WWE Women’s Titles are finally put on the line, Andrade battles Mysterio, Natalya stays angry, Maria Kanellis goes to an OB/GYN, and more on a good but uneven episode of RAW.
Dolph Ziggler confronts Kofi Kingston again ahead of the title match, a new number one contender for the SmackDown Women’s Title is decided, the 24/7 Title is defended in an actual match, Goldberg has some words for The Undertaker, and more on a pretty good episode of SmackDown Live.
This was another long WrestleMania with a mostly entertaining mixture of memorable moments, good matches, underwhelming matches, and strange decisions.
This is a very long show, and with any show of this length, there are good and not so good parts. Overall, this is probably a middle-of-the-road Wrestlemania, but there is definitely some fun to be had here. Watching it all in one sitting might leave you a bit exhausted though.
Being the last PPV before Wrestlemania, it felt like they were playing it safe and predictable with Fastlane. Most of the matches weren’t great, there were some filler segments, and the main events didn’t really deliver. There were some bright spots on the show, but overall this one felt like an average (yet long) episode of RAW.
A less than great RAW leads us into a PPV that feels less than compelling.
While the results make this show feel like more of the same from WWE, the show itself was entertaining. It wasn’t the best Royal Rumble in history, but the Rumble match itself was fine, and Styles versus Cena stole the show.
RAW celebrates Halloween with two title matches and a battle royal.
Goldberg returns to RAW to answer Paul Heyman’s challenge in an entertaining show that also had Rusev sharing some family photos, Seth Rollins coming up with a new nickname for Chris Jericho, Cesaro not paying much attention to Sheamus’ match against Big E, and much more!
