In the final SmackDown Live before Wrestlemania, Kofi and Bryan sign the title match contract, 18 men and women compete in a huge mixed tag match, The Usos find out what they’ll be doing at Wrestlemania, The Miz takes on SAnitY, Becky Lynch stands on a table, and Kevin Owens brings Orton and Styles together for a fight.
Big E anad Xavier Woods fight for Kofi as they run a tag team gauntlet to send Kofi to Wrestlemania, Asuka has to put her title on the line with no explanation, The Miz wants to add a stipulation to his match with Shane McMahon, and Kurt Angle wants to face AJ Styles during his farewell tour.
The NXT invasion continues as Tommaso Ciampa, Johnny Gargano, Aleister Black, and Ricochet all compete in matches. Also, Mandy Rose faces Asuka, and a challenger is named for Daniel Bryan’s WWE Title.
Rusev challenges Shinsuke Nakamura for the US Title on a good episode of SmackDown Live that also featured Samoa Joe versus Jeff Hardy, Mustafa Ali versus Andrade Almas, and a big eight man tag team match.
The “fresh start” for SmackDown Live was a fun episode with Asuka putting her title on the line against Naomi, Gallows and Anderson attempting to make a statement, and Mustafa Ali joining AJ Styles to take on Daniel Bryan and Andrade Almas in the main event.
This episode of SmackDown Live was light on wrestling, but it still presented some interesting segments and some fun moments in the ring.
The final SmackDown Live before Survivor Series certainly was interesting. It finalized some matches for Sunday while feeling like it changed everything.
The men’s and women’s Survivor Series teams are decided on a very entertaining show that also featured New Day vs The Usos, Almas vs Mysterio, Samoa Joe vs Jeff Hardy, and Becky Lynch vs someone we hadn’t yet seen on the SmackDown roster.
The Miz and Maryse attempt to avoid Daniel Bryan and Brie Bella (while claiming otherwise) on an okay SmackDown that had a good triple threat tag match and an interesting main event.
The final SmackDown before Summer Slam promoted all the matches from the blue side, though it didn’t really advance anything in any significant way.
The Undisputed Era beings a new era of domination, Heavy Machinery issues a challenge that may not be very wise, and Johnny Gargano continues to have things go wrong for him in a very good episode of NXT.
NXT kicks off the “road to immortality” with a great show and a fantastic main event.
The Undisputed Era is scheduled to defend their tag titles against SAnitY, but Cole, O’Reilly, and Fish have different plans on an entertaining episode of NXT.
Pete Dunne puts his title on the line against Johnny Gargano, and Ruby Riot attempts to settle things with Sonya Deville on an episode of NXT that is essentially a Takeover wrap-up (with two very good matches).
NXT provides another great Takeover with a series of fantastic matches leading up to the chaotic and violent return of War Games!
The Street Profits make their NXT TV debut, Andrade Almas looks to get back on track against No Way Jose, and Oney Lorcan gives Danny Burch a rematch in an okay but rather uneventful episode of NXT.
Kassius Ohno and Hideo Itami battle in an attempt to settle their differences in an episode of NXT that did a lot of setting up but not much paying off.
Bobby Fish makes his NXT debut, and Heavy Machinery challenges The Authors of Pain in a pretty good episode of NXT.
Roderick Strong challenges Bobby Roode for the NXT Title in a very good and emotional match!
Asuka puts her title on the line against Nikki Cross in the first-ever Last Woman Standing match on NXT!
