Match 1
Noam Dar w/ Alicia Fox vs Rich Swann
(referee: Ryan Tran)

Show/Hide Results

Result: Rich Swann wins via pinfall after a Phoenix Splash from the second rope
Time: 7:52

Match Thoughts
Pretty good match. Noam Dar dominated the majority of the match and his time in control kind of slowed things down. Whenever Swann took control the pace picked up a little. The finish was fairly sudden, but the finishing move was fun to watch.

Ring Area
From the announcers table, Corey Graves conducts a video interview with TJ Perkins and Neville. Neville says that the only reason he wasn’t the first Cruiserweight Champ is because he wasn’t in the Cruiserweight Classic. He says Perkins will always come in second to “The King of the Cruiserweights.” Perkins says Neville will never be as good as he thinks he is. Just like he fell from prominence after losing the NXT Title, Neville will fall again after losing the Cruiserweight Title.

Video
Footage of Gran Metalik competing against TJ Perkins in the finals of the Cruiserweight Classic. He might have lost the tournament, but now he’s on 205 Live to prove that he’s the best.

Match 2
Gran Metalik vs Drew Gulak
(referee: Danilo Anfibio)

Show/Hide Results

Result: Gran Metalik wins via pinfall after a Metalik Driver
Time: 5:26

Match Thoughts
Pretty good match. Gulak tried to spoil Metalik’s 205 Live debut by attacking as soon as the bell rang. He did an okay job of avoiding Metalik at first, but this was really a showcase of Metalik’s flying abilities. Gulak had some good, simple counters and effective moves, but in the end this was Metalik’s match. The only blemish on the match was when Metalik slipped while attempting a second-rope springboard.

Backstage
Brian Kendrick asks Akira Tozawa about being his protege. Tozawa says “no.” Kendrick assumes Tozawa doesn’t understand him. Tozawa responds in English, telling Kendrick that he doesn’t like him. Kendrick doesn’t seem to like that.

Match 3
TJ Perkins vs Neville (Cruiserweight Champ)
(referee: Jason Ayers)

Show/Hide Results

Result: Neville wins via submission with the Rings of Saturn
Time: 12:26

Match Thoughts
Very good match. Perkins started the match in complete control, showing some nice technical skills and frustrating Neville. Neville then took control, slowing the pace and using his power. Perkins came back with some big moves including a springboard DDT, and he started working on Neville’s arm very convincingly. The final segment of the match had both men fighting pretty evenly, and the finish was good and convincing.

Ring Area
After the match, Jack Gallagher runs out to the ring. Neville stomps him and throws William the Third out of the ring. Gallagher comes back with a few European uppercuts and a headbutt. Neville exits the ring and backs away while Gallagher puts the Cruiserweight belt on his own shoulder.

Show Impressions
The first two matches were fine, but the main event made this a good show. Definitey worth watching. I also enjoyed the exchange between Tozawa and Kendrick, and the interview with Neville and Perkins was also pretty good.

Match of the Night
TJ Perkins vs Neville
Easily the best match. Perkins showed a lot in this one, and Neville showed how much he can dominate. Great match for both guys.
