Match 1
Kalisto vs Rhyno
(referee: Darrick Moore)

Show/Hide Results

Result: Kalisto wins via pinfall after Salida Del Sol
Time: 5:39

Match Thoughts
A pretty good match. Kalisto never seemed to get any sustained momentum against Rhyno’s power. Rhyno took Kalisto lightly though, even mocking him at one point which made Rhyno the heel in this match. I think that was a good idea because it set Kalisto up for a nice underdog battle without much splitting of the crowd.

Match 2
Gran Metalik vs Tony Nese
(referee: Rod Zapata)

Show/Hide Results

Result: Tony Nese wins via pinfall after a running knee strike in the corner
Time: 3:19 (1 break)

Match Thoughts
It was extremely short and broken up by a commercial break, but I liked the match. Gran Metalik was able to show some of his speed and agility, and Tony Nese some some nice aggressiveness and power. I just wish there had been more.

Show Impressions
This was a pretty good Main Event. The matches were both decent.

Match of the Night
Gran Metalik vs Tony Nese
Both matches are worth watching for different reasons, but I enjoyed the contrast of styles and the action better in the Metalik/Nese match.
