Match 1
Nikki Cross vs Mercedes Martinez
(referee: Darryl Sharma)

Show/Hide Results

Result: Nikki Cross wins via pinfall after The Purge
Time: 6:20

Match Thoughts
Very good match. Martinez beat Cross up in this fight. Cross ended up with a bloody nose and took a series of rough looking drops and suplexas late in the match. Martinez made a good impression, and Cross was able to show how incredibly tough she is because of all the punishment she took.

Ring Area
After the match, Candice LeRae power walks down to the ring. LeRae confronts Cross, but Cross just laughs and walks away. On the stage, Aleister Black emerges. Cross backs up and exits at the other side of the stage.

Black walks down to the ring. LeRae walks up to Black. Black wants to know where Johnny Gargano is, but LeRae says she doesn’t know. Black issues a warning to LeRae before walking away.

Match 2
Street Profits vs The Mighty
(referee: Eddie Orengo)

Show/Hide Results

Result: Montez Ford pins Shane Thorne after a springboard frog splash
Time: 7:07

Match Thoughts
Very good match. This had the feeling of a good grudge match. I was really pulling for the Street Profits in this one, so all the back and forth action had me hooked. Montez Ford stood out in particular. I liked seeing him fight angry. He was fighting and flying all over the ring. It was great.

Backstage
Cathy Kelley asks William Regal about War Games. Regal starts by saying that Ciampa will defend his title against Velveteen Dream. Aleister Black walks up and interrupts. He wants to know where Gargano is. Regal reminds Black that he told Gargano to stay home today, but Black will get Gargano in a one on one match at War Games. Black is still angry as he walks away.

Video
Matt Riddle debuts next.

Outside the Venue
Lars Sullivan throws stuff around. He’s pissed that Velveteen Dream is getting a title shot. Sullivan has decided that he’s going to tear Dream apart for taking his spot.

Match 3
Luke Menzies vs Matt Riddle
(referee: Jessika Carr)

Show/Hide Results

Result: Matt Riddle wins via submission with the Bromission
Time: 3:19

Match Thoughts
A good debut match. Menzies got a little offense in this, but that was really just to allow Matt Riddle to show everyone how he can counter things seamlessly. Riddle looked strong, and he looked smooth. I think he’s going to be fun to watch in NXT.

Video
At Evolution, Cathy Kelley asked Shayna Baszler if her win was redemption for her title loss. Baszler starts to talk when Kairi Sane can be heard yelling Baszler’s name. Sane staggers toward Baszler, but she’s held back by a staff member. Holding her arm, Sane drops to the ground as Baszler holds up her NXT Women’s Title.

Match 4
Oney Lorcan & Danny Burch vs Humberto Carillo & Raul Mendoza
(referee: Tom Castor)

Show/Hide Results

Result: Oney Lorcan pins Raul Mendoza after an assisted implant DDT
Time: 3:16

Match Thoughts
Very good match. It was quite short, but it was very, very fun to watch. Mendoza and Carillo looked great. Mendoza was incredibly agile, practically running circles around Burch early in the match. And Carillo can fly very, very high. Mendoza and Carillo are going to be a lot of fun to watch, but it was no surprise that this was Lorcan and Burch’s match. They got almost no offense for most of the match, but Lorcan and Burch were convincing late in the match with some rough looking moves delivered to their opponents.

Backstage
The Undisputed Era feels great, and they are ready now that they’re at 100%. As they talk, the War Raiders attack them from behind. The fight makes its way outside where Hanson and Rowe have the upper hand until the numbers catch up to them. Undisputed Era takes control, but Ricochet flies in to help the War Raiders.

The brawl eventually makes its way to the ring area. Undisputed Era gets beat up all the way to the ring, but that’s where they turn things around again. After a few seconds, Pete Dunne comes out, and he’s carrying a chair. Dunne helps even the odds, and he, the War Raiders, and Ricochet clear Undisputed Era from the ring.

William Regal comes out to the stage to stop the fighting. He says if everyone wants to fight, they can do so in War Games.

Show Impressions
This was a great show. The matches were all very good, Riddle debuted, Martinez appeared, and there were some great setups for later.

Match of the Night
Street Profits vs The Mighty
I think the Martinez/Cross match was just as entertaining for me, but I think the satisfaction of seeing the Street Profits beat The Mighty at the (possible) end to their feud helped put this tag match over the top for me.
