Match Thoughts
Good match. As expected, there was a lot of flying in this match. Gran Metalik helped make Carrillo look very good tonight. Carrillo is talented, and Metalik gave him a big and important match tonight. This was fun to watch.

Drake Maverick tells Drew Gulak and Jack Gallagher is great. Gulak isn’t impressed. In fact, he’s angry. Gallagher just seems disappointed. Gulak and Gallagher both walk away.

Tony Nese quickly walks up. He’s dressed to compete, and he wants a match with Noam Dar right now. Maverick says that’s a great idea and he’ll consider it. Nese tells Maverick that he should consider what will happen if he doesn’t make that match.

Akira Tozawa says he didn’t travel around the world to become a joke. He will become a two time champ on Sunday. Brian Kendrick approves.

Kayla Braxton asks Hideo Itami what it would mean for him to win the Cruiserweight Title. Ariya Daivari answers, saying Itami is more hungry than any of his opponents. Tonight, He’ll prove it.

Match 2
Kalisto vs Akira Tozawa vs Hideo Itami
(referee: Jason Ayers; guest commentary: Buddy Murphy)

Result: Hideo Itami pins Akira Tozawa after the Sakura Knee Strike
Time: 12:20

Match Thoughts
Very good match. The action was going well, then Buddy Murphy got involved fairly early in the match. With no disqualifications, Murphy did whatever he wanted. TOzawa and Kalisto would fight Murphy off, though that gave Itami an advantage. The finish to the match was good, and I liked how everything built up to it without making any of the three men competing look weaker than anyone else.

Show Impressions
Another good show. I think this was a nice lead-in for the title match on Sunday.

Match of the Night
Itami vs Kalisto vs Tozawa
Carrillo and Metalik had a fun match, but the triple threat felt more important.
