Match 1
Danny Burch & Oney Lorcan & Humberto Carrillo vs The Forgotten Sons
(referee: DA Brewer)

Show/Hide Results

Result: Wesley Blake pins Danny Burch after a tandem reverse DDT (Ryker) and diving stomp (Blake)
Time: 5:32

Match Thoughts
Good match. The Forgotten Sons worked better as a team, and that was the difference in the match. The finish was a bit chaotic, but it was fine.

Outside the Venue
Earlier today, Cathy Kelley asked Shayna Baszler (who is with Marina Shafir and Jessamyn Duke) if she feels any remorse for attacking Kairi Sane and Io Shirai over the last few weeks. Baszler thinks that’s funny. Cathy then asks Shayna if the attacks are because Io has pinned Shayna, but Shayna hasn’t pinned Io. Baszler slaps the mic out of Cathy’s hand and walks away.

Performance Center
Earlier this week, Bianca Belair told Mia Yim not to talk about her. The two women argued, but Bianca Belair left before the argument excalated.

Match 2
Mansoor vs Dominik Dijakovic
(referee: Drake Wuertz)

Show/Hide Results

Result: Dominik Dijakovic wins via pinfall after Feast Your Eyes
Time: 5:12

Match Thoughts
Good match. Mansoor had some surprising offense, but he kind of got squashed (and tossed outside the ring) by Dijakovic.

Ring Area
After the match, Velveteen Dream is brought out to the stage on his couch. Dream sings (poorly) at Dijakovic. Dream gets his point across though. He’s beaten a lot of people, and this is Dream’s NXT.

The Undisputed Era talks about how lucky Johnny Gargano is. They also talk about how Adam Cole is going to beat Matt Riddle next week. Cole talks about how strong Undisputed Era is, but Roderick Strong takes offense when Cole says he dropped the ball last week. Strong walks away. Cole is amazed that Strong can’t take a joke.

Match 3
Kassius Ohno vs KUSHIDA
(referee: Darryl Sharma)

Show/Hide Results

Result: KUSHIDA wins via submission with the Hoverboard Lock
Time: 8:04

Match Thoughts
Very good match. It started with a very nice sequence of holds, throws, and counters, and it picked up with both men trying to hit big moves. Ohno seemed to take control of the match when he dropped a knee right onto KUSHIDA’s nose. That rocked KUSHIDA, but the time splitter managed to mount a comeback with some big moves of his own. This match was a great blend of strong style and technical exchanges. I’m very glad KUSHIDA is in NXT.

Show Impressions
This was a good show. KUSHIDA versus Ohno was definitely the highlight.

Match of the Night
Kassius Ohno vs KUSHIDA
I hope they fight again.
