Video
Last week after the main event, Kofi Kingston was attacked by Dolph Ziggler.

Video
Last month, Kevin Owens pretended to want to be part of New Day only to turn on Kofi and Woods.

Ring Area
Kevin Owens is in the ring. He said was going to kick off tonight’s SmackDown with a Kevin Owens Show, but the people in the crowd are not worthy of his show. The only thing Owens is happy about is beating up Kofi Kingston in their match tonight. Owens enjoys beating up New Day, but he says he had nothing to do with the attack Big E suffered last week. Owens is a good person and would never do something like that.

If New Day wants to blame Owens for something though, they can blame him for the pain Woods has suffered over the last few weeks. They can also blame Owens for Kofi losing the WWE Title at Super ShowDown after Owens beats up Kofi tonight. Eventually, Owens is interrupted by New Day’s music. Kofi Kingston heads to the ring.

Kofi tells Owens to stop lying. Everyone knows Owens attacked Big E. Owens is a liar, but if Owens thinks he’s going to soften up Kofi for Ziggler, then Owens is lying to himself. Tonight, Owens is going to pay for everything he’s done to New Day over the past few weeks.

Match 1
Kevin Owens vs Kofi Kingston (WWE Champ)
(referee: Ryan Tran)

Show/Hide Results

Result: Kofi Kingston wins via pinfall after Trouble in Paradise
Time: 13:27 (1 break)

Match Thoughts
Good match. After the first few minutes, Kevin Owens began to dominate Kofi. Kofi struggled to get back into the match, but all Kofi needs is the right move and the right time to turn things back into his favor.

Backstage
Dolph Ziggler watches the end of Owens versus Kingston.

Backstage
Shane McMahon discusses something with Elias and Drew McIntyre.

Backstage
R-Truth (the 24/7 Champ) and Carmella are still trying to avoid everyone. They run. Drake Maverick appears, and he’s posting Wanted posters for R-Truth.

Ring Area
The SmackDown Tag Champs, Daniel Bryan and Rowan, head to the ring. In the ring, Kayla Braxton asks the champs what they would like to tell the WWE Universe. Bryan says the WWE tag division is a joke. Not a funny joke, but a joke that makes you cringe. Rowan tells a knock-knock joke.

Bryan says not only will he and Rowan save the SmackDown tag division, but they have also dedicated their lives to saving the planet. He also talks about how gross people are for what they eat. They eat pigs named Wiggles and cows named Wilbur, and the people in Oklahoma are worse than anyone. They frack and drill and cause earthquakes. Bryan and Rowan are the planet’s tag team champions.

Kayla tells Bryan that he and Rowan might be the champs, but there are a lot of teams who want to challenge them. Bryan wants to know who, so Heavy Machinery comes out and heads to the ring.

Tucker says he and Otis love to have fun, but it’s time to get down to business. Otis is ready for a fight, and a referee enters the ring. Daniel Bryan says he accepts HEavy Machinery’s challenge, but the match will not happen in the “fracking” state of Oklahoma. Bryan and Rowan leave the ring.

Backstage
Bayley prepares for a match.

Backstage
Sonya Deville and Mandy Rose hand out issues of Muscle and Fitness HERS with Mandy on the cover. The IIconics get a couple of issues, and so do some random guys. Mandy and Sonya come upon Ember Moon and hand her every issue they have. Ember isn’t interested.

Match 2
Carmella vs Mandy Rose w/ Sonya Deville
(referee: Jason Ayers)

Show/Hide Results

Result: Mandy Rose wins via pinfall with a prawn hold (after a distraction from Sonya Deville)
Time: 3:10

Match Thoughts
This was fine. Mandy Rose hit a good running knee strike. Otherwise, not much happened. The finish was unsurprising, but it worked as a way to maintain Rose and Deville’s rule-breaking characters.

Backstage
Jinder Mahal tries to pin R-Truth in the hallway, but he fails. After getting rid of Mahal, R-Truth runs away. Seconds later, The B-Team, Akira Tozawa, Apollo Crews, Matt Hardy, Noam Dar, and Ariya Daivari run by. R-Truth emerges from a photo booth where he was hiding, and Drake Maverick runs right into him. Both men get up, and Drake chases R-Truth down the hallway.

Ring Area
Shane McMahon heads to the ring with Elias and Drew McIntyre.

Backstage
Aleister Black gets it. He knows we’re waiting for him to pick a fight with someone, but he is sitting and waiting patiently for anyone to pick a fight with him.

Ring Area
In the ring, Shane McMahon, Drew McIntyre, and Elias are ready for Shane McMahon Appreciation Night. Shane says he is a humble man. He came back to help run a family business, and the best payment for him are the smiles on people’s faces. With that in mind, he shows a video.

Video
A brief look at Shane McMahon’s career in WWE in music video form.

Ring Area
Shane talks about how sick he is of Roman Reigns. Elias is impressed with Shane, and he’s written a song about it. As Elias sings, R-Truth runs into the ring followed by Drake Maverick. R-Truth pins Drake Maverick, apparently defending the 24/7 Title. R-Truth celebrates, but Shane isn’t pleased. Shane, Drew, and Elias beat up R-Truth.

Elias pins R-Truth after McIntyre hits Truth with the Claymore Kick. Elias becomes the new 24/7 Champ.

As Truth lies on the mat, Shane tells him that he will team with Roman Reigns later tonight to face Elias and Drew McIntyre. Also, Shane suspends the 24/7 Title rules until after tonight’s main event.

Backstage
Kayla Braxton welcomes Lacey Evans. Lacey is having a tea party with Charlotte Flair. They don’t like Becky and Bayley, and they tell us about it.

Match 3
Bayley (SD Women’s Champ) vs Lacey Evans
(referee: Danilo Anfibio; guest commentary: Charlotte Flair)

Show/Hide Results

Result: Bayley wins via pinfall with a schoolboy
Time: 7:15

Match Thoughts
This was fine. I liked the finish, and both women looked fine. The story seemed to be more about Lacey and Charlotte than Bayley though.

Ring Area
After the match, Lacey attacks Charlotte from behind. Charlotte quickly overcomes Lacey and hits her with a big boot.

Backstage
Carmella tries to get R-Truth to focus on his upcoming match after losing the 24/7 Title earlier tonight.

Video
A look at the rivalry between Triple H and Randy Orton.

Backstage
Sarah Schreiber welcomes Andrade and Zelina Vega. Andrade talks about powerbombing Balor on a ladder in the Money in the Bank ladder match, and he tells Balor to look for his inner demon when he faces him at Super ShowDown.

Video
The Firefly Fun House previously aired on RAW is shown again.

Match 4
Roman Reigns & R-Truth vs Elias & Drew McIntyre w/ Shane McMahon
(referee: Jason Ayers)

Show/Hide Results

Result: Roman Reigns pins Elias after a spear
Time: 7:29 (1 break)

Match Thoughts
This was fine. R-Truth was hurt (and attacked again before the match), and Reigns didn’t seem to be into the match. Reigns still did most of the work for his team though. It was fine.

Ring Area
After the match, Reigns hits Elias with another spear. Reigns then tells R-Truth to cover Elias. He does, and R-Truth pins Elias to become the new 24/7 Champ.

Show Impressions
This show was okay. It felt like it was dominated by Shane’s stuff, and that’s not really something I want to see a whole lot of every week. I liked the first segment of the show though.

Match of the Night
Kevin Owens vs Kofi Kingston
This was fun.
