Intro Video
“All Out Life” by Slipknot

Ring Area
Already in the ring, William Regal is set to oversee the contract signing for the NXT Tag Title match. The Street Profits head to the ring first. Regal starts to introduce Kyle O’Reilly and Bobby Fish, but Montex Ford and Angelo Dawkins want to introduce their challengers themselves. Their introduction is, of course, a joke.

Bobby Fish is floored by the hilarity of the Street Profits. O’Reilly chose not to laugh because it wasn’t funny. Fish says the Street Profits aren’t on their level. He says the Street Profits aren’t as good in the ring as the Undisputed Era, and they’re not as funny. O’Reilly tells a joke: the Street Profits are the NXT tag champs.

Ford says the Undisputed Era has done nearly everything and beaten nearly everyone in NXT. Not that the Street Profits are champs though, what makes Fish think that losing is an option for them? The Street Profits sign the contract first, then they leave as Fish and O’Reilly sign.

Match 1
Joaquin Wilde vs Shane Thorne

Result: Shane Thorne wins via pinfall after a running knee strike
Time: 7:26

Match Thoughts
Good match. Wilde used his agility to frustrate Thorne. Thorne got in some hard strikes throughout the match, but Wilde always seemed to come back with another attack. Thorne eventually resorted to some violent shenanigans outside the ring to get firm control of the match. I like this look on Thorne so far, and I’m glad we might start seeing the breakout guys show up now and then.

Ring Area
Matt Riddle heads to the ring for a match with Killian Dain. As Riddle reaches ringside, Dain appears and squashes Riddle with a flying cross body. Dain continues to beat up Riddle until Dain decides to leave.

Backstage
Last week, Cathy Kelley was happy to see Breezango reunited. Tyler Breeze asked Fandango where he’s been, and Fandango says he was in too deep. He realized that he and Breeze spent all their time policing other people’s fashion, but they never policed their own. Fandango suggests that they need to reimaging Breezango.

Show Impressions
You know, this should be the Takeover pre-show, not whatever 30-minute Pat McAfee nonsense they’re going to give us. This wasn’t great episode of NXT so much as it was an extended preview for Takeover: Toronto.

Match of the Night
Joaquin Wilde vs Shane Thorne
It was the only match on the show so it wins by default, but I did still enjoy it.
