Show/Hide Results

Result: Danny Burch pins Drew Gulak after an assisted implant DDT
Time: 11:46

Match Thoughts
Good match. I felt like it took a little time to really get going (at least, in comparison to most of Burch and Lorcan’s matches), but this was quite entertaining. I was a little surprised by the finish, but I guess I really shouldn’t have been. It was well done.

No Disqualification Match
Akira Tozawa vs The Brian Kendrick
(referee: Dan Engler)

Show/Hide Results

Result: Brian Kendrick wins via pinfall after Mike Kanellis interferes and hits Tozawa with a rolling cutter
Time: 12:43

Match Thoughts
Very good match. The finish was frustrating, but it was intended to start a new direction in the story between Tozawa and Kendrick, so I thought it was fine. We’ve seen Kendrick and Tozawa have a great match like this before, so I wasn’t super disappointed that we got sort of a non-finish tonight. Besides, up until the final minute, this was a very fun and fairly brutal match. Tozawa dominated large chunks of the match, but Kendrick got in some good shots as well (including throwing a chair at Tozawa’s head on two different occasions).

Ring Area
After the match, Mike Kanellis holds his hand out to Kendrick. The two men shake hands and leave together.

Show Impressions
This was a fine show. It was a show intended to build up story lines, but the action was fun as well.

Match of the Night
Akira Tozawa vs The Brian Kendrick
Despite the tainted finish, this was easily the most exciting match.
