Studio
Tony Shiavone and Dasha Gonzalez welcome us to AEW Dark.

Match 1
Private Party vs Frankie Kazarian & Scorpio Sky (AEW Tag Champs)
(referee: Mike Posey)

Show/Hide Results

Result: Scorpio Sky pins Marq Quen after SCU Later
Time: 12:23

Match Thoughts
Good match. The advantage went back and forth a few times, and both teams looked strong. The champs never really seemed like they were in trouble, but Private Party didn’t look weak either. This was an evenly-fought match, and it was fun.

Studio
Lexy Nair keeps us up-to-date on the women’s division. Current rankings: 5. Emi Sakura, 4. Nyla Rose, 3. Hikaru Shida, 2. Kris Statlander, 1. Britt Baker.

Nair tells us that Britt Baker will face Kris Statlander to determine the next challenger for the Women’s Title.

Match 2
Machiko vs Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D.
(referee: Paul Turner)

Show/Hide Results

Result: Britt Baker wins via submission with Lockjaw
Time: 3:22

Match Thoughts
This was kind of a squash. This seemed to be about getting Baker a strong win heading into her number one contender match with Statlander.

Match 3
Bea Priestley vs Kris Statlander
(referee: Aubrey Edwards)

Show/Hide Results

Result: Kris Statlander wins via pinfall after a bastard driver
Time: 9:30

Match Thoughts
Good match. Statlander has started her time in AEW in a very strong way, and she continued that tonight. Priestley has struggled in AEW, and even though she looked pretty good tonight, Statlander looked better overall. Brandi, Kong, and Melanie Cruise showed up at ringside to watch the match, but they just cheered for Statlander instead of getting involved.

Backstage
Kris Statlander says she’s going to be our leader after she beats Baker on her way to winning the AEW Women’s Title from Riho.

Match 4
The Hybrid2 & “The Bastard” Pac vs Best Friends & Orange Cassidy
(referee: Bryce Remsburg)

Show/Hide Results

Result: Pac submits Chuck Taylor with the Brutalizer
Time: 13:21

Match Thoughts
Very good match. Most of the first part of the match was a buildup for Orange Cassidy’s entrance into the match. Cassidy did more in this one match than he’s done in his entire AEW tenure so far, and it was a lot of fun. Everyone else looked very good too. The Best friends worked well as a team with Cassidy, and TH2 meshed quite well with Pac. This was a highly entertaining match.

Show Impressions
This show didn’t have many recap videos, and I liked that about it. More action makes for a better show.

Match of the Night
Best Friends & Orange Cassidy vs TH2 & Pac
Super fun.
