Match 1
AEW World Tag Team Title Match
Hangman Adam Page & Kenny Omega vs Frankie Kazarian & Scorpio Sky (Tag Champs) w/ Christopher Daniels
(referee: Paul Turner)

Show/Hide Results

Result: Adam Page pins Frankie Kazarian after the Buckshot Lariat
Time: 19:11

Match Thoughts
Great match! Both teams put up a great fight. There were some story moments where Page and Omega still didn’t seem like they were getting along completely (mostly from Page’s side), and even the finish was more about individual efforts from Page and Omega versus superb teamwork from SCU. The distancing of Page continued even after the match. All of that added a nice and unobtrusive element to an already super fun tag title match.

Match 2
Priscilla Kelly vs Dr. Britt Baker D.M.D.
(referee: Paul Turner)

Show/Hide Results

Result: Britt Baker wins via submission with Lockjaw
Time: 6:02

Match Thoughts
Good match. Kelly started to dominate the match through a commercial break, but Baker mounted a comeback leading up to the finish. This was a solid match from both women.

Ring Area
Tony Shiavone heads to the ring and congratulates Britt Baker. Baker insults Shiavone, saying he was a “shitty barista” at Starbucks prior to joining AEW. Baker says it’s a lot of pressure being a role model and the hottest woman on the ship tonight. Also, she’s a dentist. Jim Ross has heard enough, so he sends the show to a break as Baker continues to talk.

Video
Jack Perry (Jungle Boy) talks about his father, chasing his dreams, and the moment he got the call from Cody about joining AEW.

Match 3
Jurassic Express vs Santana & Ortiz & Chris Jericho (World Champ) w/ Jake Hager
(referee: Aubrey Edwards)

Show/Hide Results

Result: Chris Jericho pins Marko Stunt after the Judas Elbow
Time: 14:12

Match Thoughts
Very good match. This was a back-and-forth fight from two entertaining teams. Jurassic Express seemed to get the better of the Inner Circle for most of the match, but Marko Stunt got isolated and abused a few times. Jake Hager made his presence known late in the match, and that turned out to be the difference maker tonight.

A look at the feud between Cody and MJF.

Match 4
MJF vs “The Bad Boy” Joey Janela
(referee: Aubrey Edwards)

Show/Hide Results

Result: MJF wins via pinfall after the Double Cross (and a distraction from Kip Sabian and Penelope Ford)
Time: 7:59

Match Thoughts
Good match. The finish was a little underwhelming considering the circumstances, but the rest of the match was fine. There was a strange interruption where the show went to a promo for upcoming shows, but I guess we didn’t miss too much of the action.

Ring Area
After the match, MJF gets on the mic and talks about Cody. He says he’s going to be the final chapter in Cody’s story. Cody comes out and heads to the ring. MJF gloats about the fact that Cody can’t touch him according to the stipulations they agreed upon.

Cody says he might not be able to touch MJF, but the Young Bucks can. Nick and Matt Jackson attack MJF and throw him into the pool near ringside.

Backstage
Tony Shiavone congratulates Adam Page and Kenny Omega. Omega is happy, but Page feels slighted when Shiavone cuts him off to ask Omega about Pac. The Young Bucks also interrupt Page when they come up to celebrate. Omega gets frustrated.

Video
A promo package featuring Pac talking about how it doesn’t make sense that other people are getting opportunities when his own win/loss record is great. If Pac’s progress continues to be stifled, then someone is going to be sorry.

Match 5
AEW World Title Number One Contender Match
Pac vs Jon Moxley
(referee: Paul Turner; guest commentary: Chris Jericho)

Show/Hide Results

Result: Jon Moxley wins via pinfall after the Paradigm Shift
Time: 17:16

Match Thoughts
Great match. I wasn’t completely into the first part since Moxley took Pac for a walk through the crowd, but the match got very good once they got back into the ring. Pac was hitting some very hard moves and focusing on Moxley’s injured eye, but Moxley fought to stay alive and come back. I really enjoyed how both men approached the match.

Show Impressions
This was a really good show. It was filled with action, and the first and last matches were great bookends for the night.

Match of the Night
Page & Omega vs SCU
The opener tonight was the most exciting match bell to bell.
