This match allowed Madi Wrenkowski to get a little momentum after being basically crushed by Britt Baker in the Women&#8217;s Eliminator Tournament. Leyla Hirsch continues to impress with her combination of technical skill, striking, and flying. Miranda Alize tried to defend herself and out-maneuver Hirsch, but it felt like Alize was trying too hard to do some flashy and risky moves. Thunder Rosa hit lots of hard strikes and wisely worked on Nyla&#8217;s legs, but Nyla Rose focused on Thunder Rosa&#8217;s lower back for a large part of the match. Thunder Rosa&#8217;s back became an issue partway through the match, and it noticeably slowed her down. Nyla was slowed as well, and a lot of her signature offense was either handicapped a bit or ended up hurting herself when she hit the moves. Even so, Rosa seemed like she was slowly losing the match, but then she pushed back hard in the final few minutes. This was a nice culmination of the American side of the tournament bracket.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Show Impressions<\/strong><\/span><br \/>\nThis show was about half the time than the previous special episodes for the Women&#8217;s Eliminator, and it really felt like they ran out of matches. The finals of the Japanese side was padded with an extremely fun six-woman tag match, but the undercard matches tonight were just okay. I wish AEW had been able to schedule things so both bracket finals had been on the same show. I think that would have made for a better final show heading in the the Crossroads episode of Dynamite, and it probably would have made both of the bracket final matches feel more special.
