The action kicked off right away, and it was fast-paced nearly the entire time. The Young Bucks seemed to have more tandem offense and tended to have longer advantages throughout the match with some skillful divide-and-conquer tactics, but Penta and Kingston invariably came back through brute force and some great combinations of their own. Late in the match, the Good Brothers came out to ringside, and the tension, which was already high, increased more and more as the finish drew closer. Frankie Kazarian came out as well to help eliminate the distractions and interference from The Good Brothers and Cutler, and in the ring Penta and Kingston were finally able to isolate one of the members of the Young Bucks. This match had a skillful way of building tension, and by the end of the match I was fully invested and very excited for the finish.

Backstage
Christian Cage tells Jungle Boy he was proud of Jungle Boy in his title match with Kenny Omega last week. Physically crippling Allin hasn’t seemed to work, so Page will cripple Allin mentally by beating him in a Coffin Match. After Allin loses to Page, Allin will forever think of Page whenever he goes for a Coffin Drop.

The lights in the venue go out, and when they come back on, Sting is dragging a coffin out to the stage. Darby Allin is, of course, in the coffin. Allin leaps out of the coffin and attacks Page while Sting hits Sky with a Scorpion Death Drop. Allin tries to dig into Page’s eyes until referees and officials pull Allin away. Page is angry, and he accuses Allin of knowing he can’t beat Page at 100%. Page calls off the Coffin Match for next week, and he says he wants it in writing that Allin can’t touch Page for at least a week before the match (if it’s even going to happen).

Match 2
Jack Evans vs Jungle Boy w/ Luchasaurus, Marko Stunt
(referee: Paul Turner)

Show/Hide Results

Result: Jungle Boy wins via submission with the Snare Trap
Time: 6:06

Match Thoughts
This was fun. Maybe it’s because he was in there with Jungle Boy who is pretty lean, but I really noticed how much muscle Jack Evans has been putting on. The muscle helped Evans’ power game, but it also highlighted the fact that Jungle Boy was more agile than Evans tonight. Evans got in some good moves, but this was Jungle Boy’s match as he continues his impressive run. This was also announced as Jungle Boy’s 50th win in AEW, the most wins by anyone in the company.

Ring Area
After the match, Matt Hardy leads Private Party and Angelico as they head to the ring. Evil Uno admits that no member of Dark Order has the number of singles wins needed to challenge for the AEW World Title, but they have a friend who is the current number one contender. Pillman went for a quick start, but Miro began to dominate the match shortly after the opening bell. Miro was supremely confident, and his pace became somewhat methodical which gave Pillman an opening. Pillman put together an exciting burst of offense late in the match that had Miro reeling, but Miro shut Pillman down with kicks to the head and his Game Over submission. The biggest intrigue here was seeing if Nyla Rose would be able to get her hands on Britt Baker. Baker had no interest in getting into the ring with Rose, and that led to Rebel doing most of the work (and getting beat up in the process). Baker picked her spots well, and even though Rose did throw Baker around a little, Baker was able to use an opportunity to isolate Vickie to put a sudden end to the match. Unfortunately, it looked like Rebel might have hurt her back late in the match when she ran in to break up a pin attempt by Nyla Rose. Nothing unusual happened, but it looked like Rebel couldn’t stand, and she dragged herself to the ring apron where she stayed laying down for the rest of the match.

Ring Area
After the match, Nyla Rose attacks Britt Baker. With the way they’ve built up MJF as almost never losing in a singles match and with the fact that MJF will probably face Jericho one on one pretty soon, I didn’t have much hope for Sammy Guevara coming away with a win tonight. That did hurt my enjoyment of the match a bit, but a lot of the action was very fun and exciting enough to allow me to forget about all that. Sammy looked great from the start, and even though it took MJF a little while to warm up (he tried to wrestle like Sammy to start and it just felt like MJF was a few steps behind), MJF got into what he does best later in the match. MJF was frustrating in a lot of ways, and that helped emphasize Sammy’s exciting offense. There were two moves in the match that really should have ended everything, one done by each guy, and after both moves were kicked out of it seemed clear that there wouldn’t be a definitive finish tonight. The match slowed way down towards the end after MJF hurt his knee piledriving Sammy from the second rope, and after a few minutes Wardlow and Shawn Spears came out to the ring. Jericho tried to intervene, but he was caught by Wardlow and ended up providing a distraction that allowed Spears to attack Sammy. That led to a frustrating yet unsurprising end to the match. This was a good match for the ongoing story between The Pinnacle and the Inner Circle, but I bet Sammy and MJF can have a better one on one match when fewer story elements are involved.

Video
With this being the final Dynamite at Daily’s Place during AEW’s residency because of the pandemic, a video package highlights just some of the many memories made in Jacksonville.

Show Impressions
Overall this was a very good show.
