Taking place in Detroit, Michigan and airing just over two weeks before the legendary Wrestlemania III, this edition of WWF (WWE) Saturday Night’s Main Event builds up a few of the upcoming matches well while others are left out. Most of the buildup for the big show is contained within a big battle royal, but that doesn’t necessarily mean the show is a bust. “Macho Man” Randy Savage takes on George “The Animal” Steele for the Intercontinental Title and the company of Miss Elizabeth, and tribute is paid to “Rowdy” Roddy Piper before his retirement match.
