Private Party dominated the early parts of the match with some high-speed offense, but after a while the Young Bucks took over. The Bucks kept countering Private Party and were beating them down, but Private Party survived the few pin and submission attempts that were made. Private Party was in serious trouble, but they managed to find ways to counter the Bucks in key moments to keep their hopes alive as the match neared its end. This was definitely a good way to start the title tournament.

Ring Area
The AEW champ, Chris Jericho heads to the ring. Following him are Sammy Guevara, Ortiz, Sanata, and Jake Hager. Jericho takes full credit for the successful debut of AEW on TNT last week. Jericho then introduces his “confidants,” saying all four of the men with him made his list. They are collectively the Inner Circle, and they’re taking control of AEW.

Jericho goes on to insult Cody and his family. At Full Gear, Jericho plans to beat the “shit” out of Cody. Havoc was methodical, and he dominated Darby Allin. Havoc dropped Allin from the ring to the floor early in the match, and Allin spent the rest of the match trying to recover and mount some sort of a comeback. The finish came a little bit out of nowhere, but I liked it.

Match 3
Bea Priestley & Emi Sakura vs Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D. & Riho (AEW Women’s Champ)
(referee: Aubrey Edwards)

Show/Hide Results

Result: Britt Baker submits Emi Sakura with a modified Rings of Saturn
Time: 8:39

Match Thoughts
Good match. There was a lot of brawling, and overall it was a very solid match. I was a little surprised by the finish, but really, I think I might have been surprised had either man lost. I think WWE has conditioned me to not expect clean finishes in matches with two wrestlers who are about on the same level.

Ring Area
After the match, Kenny Omega comes out to the ramp, and he’s carrying a barbed wire bat and a barbed wire broom. Guevara got beat up for most of his time in the ring, but that allowed Jericho to control when and where he decided to pick his spots. Hager also influenced the outcome of the match as you would expect, and overall this was a fun main event.

Ring Area
After the match, Jericho, Geuvara, and Hager beat up Dustin Rhodes. Adam Page trues to help Rhodes, but he’s tossed out of the ring. Hager follows Page, and the two brawl towards the backstage area. Jericho and Page are still beating up Rhodes when the lights go out.

When the lights come back on, Cody is standing in the ring. Cody eliminates Guevara from the ring, but before he can get at Jericho, Ortiz and Santana attack. After a few seconds, MJF runs to the ring with a chair. They tease MJF turning on Cody, but he doesn’t. MJF attacks Sanata and Ortiz. MJF is eliminated from the ring by Jericho, and that’s when the Young Bucks attack.

The Bucks take Ortiz and Santana out of the fight. Jericho takes this opportunity to take his title belt and walk over to the ramp. As Jericho is about to head up the ramp, Darby Allin rides a skateboard down the ramp and uses the momentum to hit Jericho with a knee strike. Allin enters the ring where Cody, MJF, and the Young Bucks are all standing. The Inner Circle leaves the ring area, but not before Jericho gives one final warning to Cody and Darby Allin.

Show Impressions
This was another good show. I initially didn’t really want to see Jericho’s group become an actual faction, but I do like how the Inner Circle stands up against the Nightmare Family. It’s not perfect, but it works well. I also liked how the Omega/Moxley feud is continuing even with people like Pac coming into it. Maybe Moxley missing his match with Omega was a good thing for the feud and for AEW.

Match of the Night
Young Bucks vs Private Party
Sure, it was a little spotty at times, but it was highly energetic and just a lot of fun.

Official Results: https://www.allelitewrestling.com/post/aew-dynamite-results-10-09-2019

Chris Jericho confirms his new faction, Allin and Havoc compete for a shot at the AEW World Title, Moxley and Spears collide in and out of the ring, Britt Baker makes a case for a title shot, and the tag title tournament begins in an entertaining episode of AEW Dynamite.

[2799,2800,297
771,2413,2836,2837,2839,2835,2555,2812,2163,2018,1608,2436,894,2807,65,315,2843,2841,1760,2801,2842,2802,583,2838,2814,2811,2831,41,2840,2682,496,728,2815,1600,710,711,2844,2823,2822,654,2813,2830,2826,2804,2824,1833,2816,2845,1834,2803,261,2846,709
post-6714","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-aew","category-dynamite","category-show-results","tag-adam-page","tag-aew","tag-aew-tag-team-title-tournament","tag-aew-tag-team-title-tournament-first-round-match","tag-aew-world-title-number-one-contender-match","tag-agganis-arena","tag-all-elite-wrestling","tag-angelico","tag-aubrey-edwards","tag-bea-priestley","tag-best-friends","tag-boston-ma","tag-britt-baker","tag-bryce-remsburg","tag-chris-jericho","tag-christopher-daniels","tag-chuck-taylor","tag-darby-allin","tag-dustin-rhodes","tag-dynamite","tag-emi-sakura","tag-excalibur","tag-frankie-kazarian","tag-inner-circle","tag-isaiah-kassidy","tag-jack-evans","tag-jake-hager","tag-jim-ross","tag-jimmy-havoc","tag-jon-moxley","tag-justin-roberts","tag-kenny-omega","tag-marq-quen","tag-massachusetts","tag-matt-jackson","tag-nick-jackson","tag-orange-cassidy","tag-ortiz","tag-pac","tag-paul-turner","tag-private-party","tag-rick-knox","tag-riho","tag-sammy-guevara","tag-santana","tag-scorpio-sky","tag-scu","tag-shawn-spears","tag-socal-uncensored","tag-tony-shiavone","tag-trent-barreta","tag-tully-blanchard","tag-young-bucks
["GET
