Cage is quick, but Sydal is quicker, and hecaught the bigger man with a fair number of kicks and agile moves. Cage’s power was destructive whenever he caught Sydal, and that proved to be a big hurdle for Sydal to overcome. This was a fun match, and I really enjoyed the finish.

Ring Area
After the match, Ricky Starks talks about Cage and himself being officially ranked (finally). Cody starts off by saying he and Arn Anderson will not be seeking a rematch at this time, but he might like to revisit a loss that he’s never avenged. He might want a match with the newest member of the Inner Circle, MJF.

As Cody speaks, a woman named Jade Cargill walks into the ring and interrupts him. Jade wants Cody to stop lying. She says she’s being studying her competition, but she’s also been studying Cody. A lot. She says Cody likes to think of himself as a giant killer, but what does he know about giants? Jade says there is nothing giant about Cody. Jade knows a giant though, and Cody’s words might be enough to wake him. Cody checks his watch.

As she leaves, Jade congratulates Cody on his name, but she guesses Cody didn’t have the balls to go by just one name. The giant she knows goes by one name though, and that name is Shaq. Brandi Rhodes finally (mercifully) comes out and lays into Jade on the mic. After some strong words telling Jade all the way off, Brandi turns around to leave. Jade taps Brandi on the butt. As Brandi slowly turns back around, Jerry Lynn runs out to try to calm the two women down. Cooler heads prevail, and both women leave in opposite directions.

With Cody looking up at the stage, Team Taz returns. Cage attacks Cody and hits him with a strong powerbomb. Starks is about to join the beating when Darby Allin enters the ring. Allin springs off the ropes and hits Starks with his thumbtack jacket (yes, it’s a jacket with thumbtacks all over it). Cage then gets whipped into a corner where he also takes a back splash with Darby’s jacket. It was messy at times (and quite bloody), but that’s really what I expected from a match like this. There were lots of weapons and furniture used pretty much right from the start, and the violence continued all the way through to the finish. There was a box built just for people to fall through which I don’t like very much, but everything else was quite fun. Handcuffs were introduced partway through the match, and for a minute it seemed like the Natural Nightmares were in for a short night and a rough beating. The handcuffs were broken though, and the match ended up getting to the heart of the feud: QT, Blade, and Bunny. QT and Blade both bled, and it was their fight (with some assistance from their teammates) that finished the match. This seemed like a brief feud (though I suppose the buildup with Allie/The Bunny was long), but it turned out to have a memorable match.

Video
A look at the Elite Deletion match and the overall feud between Matt Hardy and Sammy Guevara. Matt talks about the pain and rage in their rivalry. He says he went into their feud with very little respect for Sammy, but Sammy’s tenacity had Matt looking at Sammy in a different way. But he had to delete Sammy. He had to make him obsolete. Sammy might have lost their rivalry, but he lost to an iconic wrestler in Matt Hardy. Therefore, Matt says he has given Sammy a gift that he hopes Sammy doesn’t squander.

Ring Area
In the ring, Justin Roberts welcomes us to the 2020 Inner Circle Induction Ceremony. Chris Jericho comes out first. Jericho says this is a historic night. Tonight, the Inner Circle will gain two new members, the first two members to join since the original group formed on the first episode of Dynamite. Ortiz, Santana, and Jake Hager come out and join Jericho. Ortiz doesn’t look happy, and Sammy is absent after being deleted at Full Gear. MJF and Wardlow come out next.

MJF acts like a good actor as he pretends to cry as he talks about how great he is. He also has some poetry he wrote. He reads it. Ortiz is unimpressed, and he tells Jericho that MJF doesn’t belong in the Inner Circle. Jericho says if there’s a problem, it’s on him. Jericho made the match at Full Gear, so MJF joining is on him. Besides, the Inner Circle will be better with MJF and Wardlow, so Ortiz i jut going to have to make it work.

MJF then continues celebrating himself. He also says tonight is a celebration of Chris Jericho’ birthday. Balloons and confetti drop as MJF dances and yells. MJF then announces that the Inner Circle is going to Las Vegas next week, and it’s all on him. And that’s the end of the induction ceremony (with an official introduction oddly absent).

Video
A look at the AEW World Tag Team Title match at Full Gear.

Backstage
Alex Marvez looks nervous as he welcomes the Young Bucks. Conti nearly lost the match right after that, but she went on to prove that she didn’t need to cheat. So where does Conti stand as far as Anna Jay and the Dark Order go? This was another exciting match between these two brothers, but it had a very different tone than their match a few weeks ago. Their previous match was for the Eliminator tournament, and it felt like friendly (if still very highly competitive) competition. Tonight’s match was a lot darker. Penta started the viciousness by ripping at Fenix’s mask early in the match. From there, their actions increasingly looked like they were trying to hurt each other as much as they were trying to win the match. Nothing was on the line here, so for these two brothers to be going so hard at each other, it felt bad. The commentators helped that feeling by blaming Eddie Kingston for bringing this out of the Lucha Brothers and causing them to begin to fall apart. Later in the match, Fenix ripped at Penta’s mask, and both men were going for painful attacks. Penta ended up spiking Fenix with a few piledriver variations in a row, completing the brutal feeling of the match.

Ring Area
Eddie Kingston gets up from the commentary table and goes over to congratulate his best friend Penta El Zero M. As Kingston is congratulating Penta, he shoves Fenix out of the ring with his foot. Kingston tells Penta he doesn’t need the dead weight of his brother. As Kingston speaks, Pac returns to AEW! Pac tells Kingston he’s made a terrible mistake, then he runs into the ring. A brawl is prevented as referees and backstage personnel flood the ring.

Show Impressions
This was a fun show. It dealt with a lot of the fallout from Full Gear, but it also moved forward with new story lines and updates to stories that continued through the last PPV. Seeing Pac return got me the most excited tonight, but I also really enjoyed the bunkhouse match. Another favorite moment was seeing Brandi go off on Jade Cargill (though Cargill’s speech before that was a low point for me), and my favorite gear of the night was Darby Allin’s thumbtack jacket.

Match of the Night
Buckhouse Match
Violent, bloody, and fun.

The Butcher and The Blade meet the Natural Nightmares in a bunkhouse match, Penta El Zero M battles Rey Fenix in a rematch from a few weeks ago, Team Taz makes their presence felt, and more on a good follow-up to this past Saturday’s Full Gear.

[2799,2800,297
2413,2969,2555,3165,2163,2982,1575,3238,2807,6821,2984,2983,65,103,3050,2841,1760,2801,3019,2802,1478,6818,2838,2058,6820,2831,3102,41,2682,496,2817,135,710,716,1497,2806,3135,6819,711,2823,2822,654,2821,1231,6553,2880,2830,807,2804,2824,1833,2845,2891,6634,2968,6693,3239,2846,2956,6668,709
post-9757","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-aew","category-dynamite","category-show-results","tag-aew","tag-alex-marvez","tag-all-elite-wrestling","tag-anna-jay","tag-aubrey-edwards","tag-blade","tag-brandi-rhodes","tag-brian-cage","tag-bryce-remsburg","tag-bunkhouse-match","tag-bunny","tag-butcher","tag-chris-jericho","tag-cody-rhodes","tag-dailys-place","tag-darby-allin","tag-dustin-rhodes","tag-dynamite","tag-eddie-kingston","tag-excalibur","tag-florida","tag-frank-gastineau","tag-inner-circle","tag-jacksonville-fl","tag-jade-gargill","tag-jake-hager","tag-jerry-lynn","tag-jim-ross","tag-jon-moxley","tag-justin-roberts","tag-lucha-brothers","tag-matt-hardy","tag-matt-jackson","tag-matt-sydal","tag-mike-posey","tag-mjf","tag-natural-nightmares","tag-new-intro","tag-nick-jackson","tag-ortiz","tag-pac","tag-paul-turner","tag-penta-el-zero-m","tag-qt-marshall","tag-red-velvet","tag-rey-fenix","tag-rick-knox","tag-ricky-starks","tag-sammy-guevara","tag-santana","tag-scorpio-sky","tag-shawn-spears","tag-stu-grayson","tag-tay-conti","tag-taz","tag-team-taz","tag-tony-schiavone","tag-tully-blanchard","tag-wardlow","tag-will-hobbs","tag-young-bucks
["GET
