Main Event Recap & Review – Episode 244
This episode of Main Event was definitely lacking. Drew Gulak faced Lince Dorado in a match with an unfortunate ending, and Slater & Rhyno faced Dallas & Hawkins in a match that was completely unremarkable.

It wasn’t quite as exciting as the finale of Block A, but the last night of B Block matches still provided some surprising and entertaining matches and moments.
A few solid matches and a little story development make this an NXT easily worth watching.
Tasha Steelz and Jessie Brooks take on Sumie Sakai and the debuting Gabby Ortiz in a nice tag team match.
Block A of the tournament ends with four very good matches full of emotion and action.
This felt like a pre-show for Extreme Rules (which it kind of is), but it still managed to have a couple of decent matches.
Money in the Bank continues to get shaped as Shane McMahon makes a historic announcement, New Day makes their SmackDown Live debut, and the competitors in the WWE Title Contract Money in the Bank match clash once again.
This was an okay show with a few good matches, but a handful of not so great matches and segments.
This was one of the standout nights featuring a standout match between KUSHIDA and Ryusuke Taguchi.
Cody faces Kazarian in a good main event of a decent episode of ROH TV.
Block A evens out the top of the bracket with some good matches highlighted by Liger vs Dragon Lee and Hiromu Takahashi vs Marty Scurll.
The race to the top of Block B gets tighter as the tournament creeps towards the finish. Was KUSHIDA able to stay in the running, or did Kanemaru effectively knock him out of this year’s tournament?
Dragon Lee and Will Ospreay battle to see who will take the lead in Block A during another fine night of tournament matches.
Block B reaches the halfway point of the tournament with some wrestlers looking to increase their lead and others looking to just stay competitive.
This week’s show was basically a recap of Takeover: Chicago, but it did contain the debut of the Velveteen Dream and a decent match between McIntyre and Blake.

The Brian Kendrick and Akira Tozawa meet in a memorable street fight to try to settle their differences.
Even though half the matches on this show were nearly exactly the same, I enjoyed this show. The competitors for the 2017 Money in the Bank match are named (and fight) and Breezango works their way into a tag title rematch!
A Block reaches the halfway point of the tournament with another round of solid matches.
It was quantity mostly over quality on this episode of RAW packed with ten matches. There were some highlights of the night though, including Matt Hardy versus Sheamus and a tag main event with four of the five competitors in the upcoming number one contender match.
