Match Thoughts
A very good and very fun match! It was amazing seeing Maki Itoh in Daily’s Place, and she was given lots of time to make a great impression on anyone who was unfortunate enough to have missed her matches during the Women’s Eliminator Tournament shows. Itoh and Baker essentially took turns legal in the ring with Itoh getting more time early in the match and Baker getting more time later. Thunder Rosa and Riho felt like a more cohesive team and even had some tandem moves, but the dirty tricks of Baker and Itoh kept them competitive in the match. There was some comedy, some strong style, some high-speed action, and some nice technical exchanges here. It was a little of everything and a lot of fun. It was a great way to start the night.
