Excalibur and Tony Schiavone welcomes us to AEW Double or Nothing!

Backstage
Matt Hardy has a very special Big Money Matt Fact for us tonight: Matt Hardy is going to win the Casino Battle Royale. Hardy is with Private Party, The Blade, and The Bunny, and he says that even though The Blade is injured and won’t be competing in the Royale, Hardy says he will cut his 30% fee down to 15% if Private Party helps him win tonight. Private Party seem to like that idea.

Match Thoughts
What a way to start the night! This was a great match with tons of energy, very good psychology, and a ton of fun action. The match started evenly with both women getting warmed up with some quick action. The fans were cheering both Riho and Deeb fairly evenly, but that changed when Riho offered to shake Deeb’s hand, and Deeb slapped Riho in the face. Deeb went into a more aggressive mode after that, and she enjoyed the damage she was doing to Riho. Riho used her speed to stay on ahead of Deeb in many instances though, and the fight was back and forth without either woman getting a prolonged advantage. The final segments of the match had a lot of counters, and the finish was built up to very nicely from damage that was gradually built upon throughout most of the match.
