Match Thoughts
Good match. I think there was a bit too much one-on-one for my tastes, but it was still a very entertaining match. Everyone looked good, and I was kind of sad when people started getting eliminated. The only thing I would have changed would be to have more than two or three people in the ring at any given time. They immediately started tossing everyone out and kept doing it, something that the commentators even mentioned. Regardless, I was happy with the match and the outcome (though I was pulling for a longer stay by Alexa).

Ring Area
Charly Caruso asks Becky Lynch how she’s feeling. Becky is happy but doesn’t quite now how to hold the title belt.

Backstage
The Miz is upset the Jagger Eaton has taken over his dressing room. Jagger invites Miz to be on his show, that is, unless he can get John Cena.

Backstage
We find Bray Wyatt in the middle of smashing Orton’s leg in a door. Referee Jason Ayers gets Bray to go away.

Match 2
SmackDown Tag Title Tournament Second Chance Challenge Match
The Usos vs Hype Bros
(referee: Charles Robinson)

Show/Hide Results

Result: Jimmy Uso makes Zack Ryder submit to a single-leg crab
Time: 10:11

Match Thoughts
Good match. I like the new look and attitude for The Usos (though without the makeup it will probably be difficult to tell The Usos apart again). It looks like the Usos have adjusted their wrestling style to fit their new persona. They were aggressive in this match, and the Hype Bros did the majority of the flying and running. It was a good matchup of styles.

Backstage
Renee Young welcomes Heath Slater and Rhyno. Slater says they’re focused and that nothing can stop a Rhyno. He thanks Renee for her time. Thinking that the interview is over, he tells Rhyno about his stomach troubles. Then there’s a poop joke.

Video
Connor’s Cure.

Video
Buildup for The Miz versus Ziggler.

Backstage
The Miz is upset and yelling at Daniel Bryan. He wants to renegotiate his contract. Daniel looks angry, but he doesn’t say anything.

Match 3
Intercontinental Title Match
Dolph Ziggler vs The Miz (IC Champ) w/ Maryse
(referee: Jason Ayers)

Show/Hide Results

Result: The Miz wins via pinfall after a skull-crushing finale
Time: 18:19

Match Thoughts
Very good match. It built very well to the last part of the match. There wasn’t any one moment that I could point to as super-spectacular, but it all worked together to get me invested in the outcome.

Kickoff Panel
Renee Young, Lita, Booker T, and Jerry Lawler talk about the show so far.

Ring Area
Bray Wyatt makes his way to the ring. Greg Hamilton reads a note saying that Randy Orton cannot compete due to injury.

Match 4
Bray Wyatt vs Randy Orton
(referee: Charles Robinson)

Show/Hide Results

Result: Bray Wyatt wins via forfeit
Time: 0:25

Match Thoughts
Not a match, but I thought I’d list it anyway since the bell rang to make it official.

Ring Area
Greg Hamilton reads another note saying that Bray Wyatt will now compete in a No Holds Barred match.

Match 5
No Holds Barred Match
Bray Wyatt vs Kane
(referee: Charles Robinson)

Show/Hide Results

Result: Kane wins via pinfall after a chokeslam (and an RKO from Orton)
Time: 10:56

Match Thoughts
Good match. For something with absolutely no buildup, this was entertaining. There was some violence and a nice table spot. You can’t really ask for much more from a last-minute match.

Backstage
AJ Styles tells some local talent that they’re destined for failure. But at least they got to meet AJ Styles.

Match 6
SmackDown Tag Title Tournament Final Match
The Usos vs Heath Slater & Rhyno
(referee: Dan Engler)

Show/Hide Results

Result: Heath Slater pins Jimmy Uso after a gore (from Rhyno)
Time: 9:56

Match Thoughts
Good match. This was a lot of fun, mostly because I think everyone was really pulling for Slater to get the win. This was a good finish to a fun story.

Ring Area
Charly Caruso congratulates Slater and Rhyno.

Video
Ziggler and Miz fight dressed as Colonel Sanders and a chicken (respectively) in a commercial for KFC.

Video
Buildup for Styles versus Ambrose.

Match 7
WWE World Title Match
AJ Styles vs Dean Ambrose (World Champ)
(referee: Mike Chioda)
#WWEWorldChampionship

Show/Hide Results

Result: AJ Styles wins via pinfall after a Styles Clash
Time: 24:57

Match Thoughts
Very good match. Like the IC match, this match built very well and got increasingly interesting as it went along. Both guys took some hard shots, especially Styles on a few occasions.

Show Impressions
The show didn’t blow me away, but I enjoyed it.

Match of the Night
AJ Styles vs Dean Ambrose
There wasn’t a bad match on the show, but at the same time nothing reached the levels of the best matches at Summer Slam either. Still, the main event delivered and was the best match of the night.
