Show/Hide Results

Result: Kalisto wins via pinfall after Salida Del Sol
Time: 11:20

Match Thoughts
Very good match. This was fought evenly for a while until things started to break open later in the match. There were some very nice chains and some big moves. It was a nice combination of many styles, and it was a great showcase for what both of these men can do.

Backstage
Tony Nese tells Mark Andrews that if anyone should get revenge on Drew Gulak, it’s Nese. Nese then tells Andrews to go kick Gulak’s ass.

Ring Area
Drew Gulak heads to the ring for a match. Gulak says there is a time for Power Point presentations, but now is not the time. Right now it is time for Drew Gulak to beat up Mark Andrews.

Match 2
Drew Gulak vs Mark Andrews
(referee: Danilo Anfibio)

Show/Hide Results

Result: Drew Gulak wins via submission with the Gu-Lock
Time: 10:30

Match Thoughts
Very good match. Gulak tried to keep Andrews on the mat and out of the air. He succeeded a lot, but Andrews did manage to use his speed to gain some short-lived advantages throughout the match. Gulak is definitely on a good path right now.

Ring Area
After the match, Gulak puts Andrews in the Gu-Lock. Tony Nese runs to the ring and attacks Gulak. After sending Gulak out to the floor and hitting a dive, Nese slides back into the ring and helps Andrews get to his feet.

Backstage
Drake Maverick agrees to allow Jack Gallagher and the returning Brian Kendrick to compete as a team next week. Maverick is just worried about what they will do to Itami. Kendrick assures Maverick that his anger at Itami has passed.

Ring Area
Drake Maverick heads to the ring. Nothing made him prouder than being named GM of 205 Live, that was until seeing Cedric Alexander and Mustafa Ali tear down the house in the Superdome. Maverick ontroduces the new Cruiserweight Champ, Cedric Alexander.

In the ring, Cedric talks about the “you sign Cedric” chant at the Cruiserweight Classic. Thanks to support like like, Cedric is now the Cruiserweight Champ. As he thanks the fans, Mustafa Ali heads to the ring. Ali has something to say, and he wants to say it to Cedric’s face. Ali tells Cedric that he doesn’t just deserve the title, he earned it. Ali also says he’s in line with everyone else for a title shot.

Buddy Murphy then enters the ring and attacks Cedric from behind. Drake Maverick is furious.

Show Impressions
A good show with two solid matches, the promise of the return of Brian Kendrick, and a rather unsurprising but fine challenger for the new champ.

Match of the Night
Kalisto vs Akira Tozawa
I liked both matches, but I think I liked this one a little more. I think the interactions between the two guys were more fun to watch in this one.
