Result: Brian Kendrick forces Lince Dorado to submit to the Captain’s Hook (after some interference from Drew Gulak)
Time: 7:11

Match Thoughts
Good match. The finish was designed to lead to more matches (probably some 6-man tags), but the action up to that point was fun. Lucha House Party looked great as usual, though Gallagher and Kendrick wouldn’t be overrun. I liked the contrast of styles here.

Video
Mustafa Ali knows Buddy Murphy is tough, but Cedric Alexander won’t lose his title tonight.

Video
Tony Nese says Buddy Murphy is unstoppable. The Age of Alexander ends tonight.

Backstage
Dasha Fuentes welcomes Drake Maverick. He’s excited for tonight, even if TJP isn’t. Maverick says that if TJP is unsatisfied, he should do something about it in the ring, just like Murphy and Alexander will tonight.

Match 2
Cruiserweight Title Match
Buddy Muphy vs Ceric Alexander (Cruiserweight Champ)
(referee: Charles Robinson)

Result: Cedric Alexander wins via pinfall after a Lumbar Check
Time: 20:06

Match Thoughts
Great match! Murphy used his power to put Alexander in a bad position early, repeatedly going after Alexander’s back. Alexander pushed through and managed to hit some bursts of offense during Murphy’s onslaught. The action got faster and more back-and-forth towards the final stages of the match. There were lots of heavy strikes and kicks, some great counters, and and increasing amount of drama. This match was definitely great for both guys.

Show Impressions
This show was all about the title match, and it delivered. The opening match was entertaining and a nice warm up, but the weeks of buildup worked well to make the title match feel special and important.

Match of the Night
Cruiserweight Title Match
I’m interested to see where they go from here.
