Match Thoughts
Good match. The commentary at ringside helped make this match about high flying versus grappling. Both styles came through in the match, and the focus on the moves each guy was doing made the match fun to watch. Dorado and Gallagher looked good against each other. I don’t expect this is the end of the battle though, and I look forward to seeing all these guys go against each other again.

Backstage
Humberto Carrillo feels fortunate to be scouted by Drew Gulak and Jack Gallagher. Carrillo loves his style of wrestling, but he’s willing to listen to what Gulak and Gallagher have to say.

Video
Ariya Daivari didn’t come to 205 Live to support someone else. He’s here for himself, and he’s going to become Cruiserweight Champ.

Backstage
Mike Kanellis says it took 16 years to get to the WWE, and he didn’t work that long to be seen as a joke. Maria says it’s not about the losses, it’s about the process. Every time Mike loses, he and Maria learn something. Every loss is a step forward. It’s not A match that creates a legend, it’s THE match.

Match 2
No DQ Match
Noam Dar vs Tony Nese
(referee: Charles Robinson)

Result: Tony Nese wins via pinfall after a running knee strike to Dar’s head through the barricade
Time: 19:13

Match Thoughts
Great match. This one ramped up the brutality as it went along, and the finish was very well done. I liked that both men focused on body parts and stayed on them throughout most of the match. In the end, it was more of the overall beating that directly led to the finish, but the body work did come into play.

Backstage
Drake Maverick mediates the contract signing between Buddy Murphy and Akira Tozawa. Tozawa signs first. Before Murphy signs, he offers Tozawa a chance to take a selfie with the champ since that’s the closest Tozawa is going to get to the title. Murphysays his competition isn’t with Tozawa or 205 Live, his competition is with history as he becomes the greatest cruiserweight of all time. Tozawa reminds Murphy that he beat the King of the Cruiserweights and took his title. Tozawa smiles and leaves.

Show Impressions
This was another entertaining show. The main event was definitely one of the highlights so far in 2019.

Match of the Night
Dar vs Nese
Another great feud being paid off on 205 Live.
