Kalisto w/ Lince Dorado, Gran Metalik vs Oney Lorcan

Result: Oney Lorcan wins via pinfall after a half and half suplex

Match Thoughts
Good match. Kalisto wasn’t 100% on his game throughout the match, but even on an off day he is very, very good. Lorcan brought a tough fight to Kalisto, and I liked the way their styles worked together. This was a good step for Lorcan in his new position on 205 Live.
Backstage
Cedric Alexander would like for Drake Maverick to explain why he didn’t give Alexander a match with Oney Lorcan. Drake says he is protecting Alexander after the recent series of tough matches he’s had. Alexander is clearly frustrated even though Maverick assures him that he will get a match with Lorcan soon.
Backstage
Kayla Braxton welcomes Tony Nese. Nese says there is no pressure on him this Sunday since no one expects him to win. As Nese talks, Buddy Murphy attacks Nese from behind. The two men brawl through the backstage area and off screen.
Ring Area
The brawl between Nese and Murphy makes its way to the stage. Officials try to pull the two men apart, but they have a difficult time doing so. Nese gets an advantage over Murphy and hits the champ with a running knee strike to the head. Nese points to the Wrestlemania sign as Murphy is attended to.
Match 2
Mike Kanellis w/ Maria Kanellis vs Akira Tozawa w/ The Brian Kendrick

Result: Akira Tozawa wins via pinfall with a sunset flip

Match Thoughts
Good match. Kanellis felt like he had the upper hand for most of this match, but Tozawa fought hard to get a win back on Mike. I’m not always a fan of an immediate rematch like this, but the result did keep Kanellis’s momentum going without hurting Tozawa.

Show Impressions
A good show. Like RAW and SmackDown, this episode of 205 Live felt like they were coasting into Wrestlemania weekend. And that’s fine. The matches were good, and the title match was touched upon.
Match of the Night
Mike Kanellis vs Akira Tozawa
I think Lorcan and Kalisto can have better match, and tonight’s main event was solid.
