Match 1
Ligero vs Kassius Ohno
(referee: DA Brewer)
Result: Kassius Ohno wins via pinfall after a rolling elbow to the back of Ligero’s head
Time: 10:08
Match Thoughts
Good match. Ligero had to work to find a way to take down his much bigger opponent. He did a good job, but Ohno’s size and strength (and questionable tactics) were too much for Ligero to withstand for any significant length of time.
Backstage
Jordan Devlin says he’s not happy about his match against Walter next week. Why? Because it’s a non-title match. Devlin doesn’t care about Walter and Dunne’s rematch. Devlin is going to beat Walter next week and earn a title shot.
Video
The hunt continues for Wild Boar and Primate.
Wrestlemania Axxess
Fabian Aichner and Marcel Barthel don’t seem to be enjoying themselves as they walk around Axxess. Normal people don’t understand how important this business is to them. For them, the mat is sacred.
Ring Area
Toni Storm heads to the ring. Storm says it’s awesome to represent NXT UK during the most important weekend of the year. She is also happy about the current state of the UK women’s division. Even with all the great competitors, Storm says she will be champ for a very long time.
As Toni Storm leaves the ring, Kay Lee Ray comes out and passes by Storm on her way to the ring.
Match 2
Kay Lee Ray vs Xia Li
(referee: Jessika Carr)
Result: Kay Lee Ray wins via pinfall after a Gory bomb
Time: 5:26
Match Thoughts
Good match. Kay Lee Ray seemed like she was in control of most of this match, but Xia Li had moments where she got to display her myriad of kicks. This was a solid match for both women.
Wrestlemania Axxess
Piper Niven says Rhea Ripley is a great athlete, but now that she’s here in NXT UK, there’s someone that Ripley won’t be able to push around.
Backstage
James Drake and Zack Gibson throw Kenny Williams and Amir Jordan’s gear into the hallway. Gibson says that Jordan and Williams aren’t good enough to use the locker room with everyone else, and they can change clothes in the corridor.
Match 3
Mark Andrews & Flash Morgan Webster vs Moustache Mountain
(referee: Drake Wuertz)
Result: Tyler Bate pins Flash Morgan Webster after a combination burning hammer (Seven) and diving knee drop (Bate)
Time: 12:29
Match Thoughts
Good match. As a showcase of NXT UK, this was quite good. I don’t think the match will really mean anything in the long run, but it was fun to watch.
Show Impressions
This was an entertaining show. These Brooklyn shows feel like a bunch of exhibitions without much story, but they are generally entertaining regardless.
Match of the Night
Andrews & Webster vs Moustache Mountain
I think it’s inevitable that Moustache Mountain will challenge for the tag titles next, and this is an example why.
