“Hail to the Crown” by CFO$ featuring From Ashes to New

Match 1
Lince Dorado vs Ariya Daivari
(referee: Danilo Anfibio)

Show/Hide Results

Result: Lince Dorado pins Ariya Daivari after a shooting star press
Time: 12:08

Match Thoughts
Good match. Vic Joseph’s cat puns aside, this was a nice grudge match between Daivari and Dorado. I’m not sure that this will end their story, but it certainly will change things going forward. I’m really happy with the recent rise of Dorado, and this match was a great example of his abilities.

Backstage
Oney Lorcan is going to hurt Tony Nese for what he did last week. After Lorcan is done with Nese, he’s going after Drew Gulak and the Cruiserweight Title.

Match 2
Gentleman Jack Gallagher vs The Brian Kendrick w/ Akira Tozawa
(referee: Charles Robinson)

Show/Hide Results

Result: Jack Gallagher wins via DQ after Brian Kendrick attacks him with a kendo stick
Time: 3:03

Match Thoughts
This wasn’t much of a match. It was cut very short by shenanigans from Brian Kendrick that were meant to further the feud he and Gallagher have.

Ring Area
After the match, Kendrick continues to hit Gallagher with a kendo stick. Tozawa hesitates, but he then pushes Kendrick off of Gallagher. Kendrick starts to walk away, but instead Kendrick attacks Tozawa with a kendo stick as well. Kendrick walks away while Tozawa looks hurt (physically and emotionally).

Backstage
Sarah Schreiber welcomes Humberto Carrillo. Carrillo is disappointed in his recent loss to Gulak, but he won’t stop trying until he wins the Cruiserweight Title.

Match 3
Oney Lorcan vs Tony Nese
(referee: Dan Engler)

Show/Hide Results

Result: Tony Nese wins via pinfall with a schoolboy (and a distraction from Drew Gulak)
Time: 15:14

Match Thoughts
Good match. The finish was an unfortunate moment meant to reinforce the team-up of Gulak and Nese, but the rest of the match was good. Lorcan forced Nese to fight more of a brawling style of match, and that gave the advantage to Lorcan. I liked the match, but it’s clear this feud isn’t over.

Show Impressions
This was a pretty good show. I might have flipped the opener and the main event considering the outcomes of both matches, but overall I was entertained.

Match of the Night
Lince Dorado vs Ariya Daivari
The finish to the main event hurt my enjoyment of the match, plus the opener was just a lot of fun.
