Bobby Roode, Dolph Ziggler, Shinsuke Nakamura, and Kevin Owens all attempt to get onto Team SmackDown in an entertaining episode of SmackDown Live.
Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens team up to face a duo of Daniel Bryan’s choosing in an okay, but rather forgettable, episode of SmackDown Live.
With a couple of non-title matches and a lot of talking, this week’s SmackDown was pretty good, but not as good as last week.
Styles puts his newly won US Title on the line against Owens and Cena faces Nakamura to see who will challenge for the WWE Title at Summer Slam in a good episode of SmackDown!
TJP and Rich Swann add Tony Nese and Cedric Alexander to their “friendly competition” in a very good match on an okay episode of Live.
Chris Jericho makes a surprise return to SmackDown and to the US Title picture in a good episode of SmackDown that begins to set the stage for Summer Slam.
There were ups and downs, but overall Battleground 2017 was a good show with at least one great match!
Cedric Alexander and Noam Dar settle their differences in an I Quit match on a very good episode of 205 Live.
AJ Styles is the new United States champ after a win at a live event at Madison Square Garden, but Owens doesn’t like it when Styles issues an open challenge for his new title. Also, with less than two weeks until Battleground, the card continues to form in an episode of SmackDown that feels rather forgettable, but sets up some matches and story lines heading into the big show.
Rich Swann faces TJP in some “friendly competition,” Jack Gallagher gets another chance to defeat Tony Nese, and Neville gives Titus O’Neil a message for Tozawa in a good episode of 205 Live.
AJ Styles battles Chad Gable to determine who will enter an Independence Day battle royal, The Usos face New Day in a surprisingly entertaining rap battle, Lana gets another title shot, and John Cena returns on a good episode of SmackDown Live!
Cedric Alexander faces Ariya Daivari, Drew Gulak takes some risks against Mustafa Ali, and The Brian Kendrick mocks Jack Gallagher in a good episode of 205 Live.
The women’s Money in the Bank contract is put up for grabs once again as they redo the MitB ladder match that was ruined by James Ellsworth at the PPV.
This felt like another week of treading the same territory, but it was still a pretty good show highlighted by a very nice main event match between Rich Swann and Neville.
Daniel Bryan makes a decision about the “controversial” women’s Money in the Bank match, Kevin Owens issues and open challenge, Dolph Ziggler takes on Shinsuke Nakamura, and more take place on this pretty good (sometimes very good) episode of SmackDown Live.
Despite some good action, the overall feeling of this year’s Money in the Bank felt a little disappointing on multiple levels.
Cedric Alexander can’t seem to get away from Noam Dar and Alicia Fox , and Akira Tozawa faces TJP in the main event of a nice episode of 205 Live.
The last stop before Money in the Bank had four good matches and some nice buildup for the show.
A good main event couldn’t help this year’s Extreme Rules from being only an average show. Some of the matches were not good at all and some were forgettable, but at least the show ended on a good note.
Kalisto faces Apollo Crews in a decent Kickoff for this year’s Extreme Rules.
