Battleground 2016 Recap & Review
A long and entertaining show highlighted by two good matches featuring long histories. There was some down time in the show, but the good outweighed the not as good.

SmackDown Recap & Review – Episode 883
The first live SmackDown was a good show. There were decent matches that did well to maintain interest in Battleground, and the draft itself was entertaining, though maybe not completely shocking.
SmackDown Recap & Review – Episode 879
This was a pretty good show, but it didn’t feel like much really happened.
RAW Recap & Review – Episode 1204
Not a bad show. It was entertaining even though the wrestling didn’t always seem to be the first thing on the writers’ minds.
RAW Recap & Review – Episode 1203
With a lot of filler and not much wrestling, the few good moments on this episode of RAW were overshadowed by the upcoming Money in the Bank PPV.
Smackdown Recap & Review – Episode 875
A couple of good title matches help to make this otherwise fairly unimportant show a pretty good watch.
RAW Recap & Review – Episode 1200
Charlotte making her dad cry, Rollins getting what he wants, and a series of Money in the Bank qualifying matches ending with a great Styles versus Owens bout make for a good RAW.
Extreme Rules Recap & Review
An uneven show with some average matches, two pretty bad matches, and two really great matches. If nothing else, this show is worthwhile for the Intercontinental and World Heavyweight title matches.
Superstars Recap & Review – Episode 371
Two good matches. Decent show.
Smackdown Recap & Review – Episode 874
This show felt like a bridge connecting RAW to Extreme Rules, and it did that job pretty well with some entertaining segments.
Main Event Recap & Review – Episode 179
An okay show with a very good main event between Zack Ryder and Stardust.
RAW Recap & Review – Episode 1188
Dean Ambrose challenges Triple H to a title match in a development that keeps things interesting despite the absence of their Wrestlemania opponents.
Superstars Recap & Review – Episode 359
This show is only really worth watching to see the continuation of the feud between Ryder and Stardust.
Smackdown Recap & Review – “Bad Decisions Make Great Replays”
With good matches and some nice attention paid to developing stories, this week’s Smackdown was very entertaining.
Main Event Recap & Review – Episode 178
This was a 50/50 show. The first half was really good, the second half really wasn’t.
RAW Recap & Review – “A Savage Beating”
This week’s RAW set up a number of matches for Wrestlemania and had a few very memorable moments including the return of Shane McMahon!
Fastlane Recap & Review
Fastlane was a mixed show. It had some very good matches, but it also had some not so great matches and very strange booking.
Smackdown Recap & Review – “A Classic Confrontation”
By keeping the match count low, this show was able to have some very nice wrestling. Chris Jericho wrestled AJ Styles in their rematch from the RAW after the Royal Rumble, and Sasha Banks took on Naomi in a very competitive match. Plus, the Dudley Boyz and the Wyatt Family both had some very important words for the WWE Universe (though some words were more cryptic than others).
Main Event Recap & Review – “Bad Communication”
Main event this week was pretty fun. It was highlighted by the return of Damien Sandow and a surprisingly competitive match between Heath Slater and Zack Ryder.
RAW Recap & Review – “Grateful”
The show was fine, but it was made memorable due to the sad fact of Daniel Bryan’s sudden retirement from professional wrestling. His address to the fans was definitely the highlight of the show.
