Result: the match ends in a no contest
Time: 7:26

Match Thoughts
Good match. The main focus was the growing tension between Itami and Dorado, and that bled over onto Tozawa and Metalik. Itami and Dorado were very aggressive, and though Tozawa and Metalik fought most of the match as they usually would, it did end up in a brawl that ended the bout without a winner. Up to the last segment though, this was a fast and fun match.

Backstage
Drew Gulak explains that he requested to postpone his match with Mark Andrews because he wants Andrews at full health when they face each other. Gulak wants no excuses when he makes Andrews tap out.

Video
Mark Andrews says Gulak crossed the line in their last match, and Andrews has a point to prove in their next battle. Gulak will learn to respect Mark Andrews.

Result: Tony Nese wins via pinfall after a running knee strike in the corner
Time: 2:55

Match Thoughts
Pretty good match. Nese was aggressive and hit a nice combination of agile moves and hard strikes. This is a good step in the right direction for Nese.

Backstage
While Kalisto and Gran Metalik attend to Lince Dorado in the trainer’s room, Buddy Murphy tells Kalisto he’ll make the match short so Kalisto can join his friends.

Match 3
Buddy Murphy vs Kalisto
(referee: Jason Ayers)

Show/Hide Results

Result: Buddy Murphy wins via pinfall after Murphy’s Law
Time: 14:49

Match Thoughts
Great match. This one went on for a good amount of time, and it had many believable near falls towards the end. Both guys looked very good and hit many strong moves. It had a nice build to it that drew the crowd in, and through the finishing move didn’t look super great to me, everything leading up to that definitely made both of these wrestlers stand out.

Backstage
Drake Maverick reflects on his first few months as the GM of 205 Live. He’s happy about how the Cruiserweight Title tournament went, and he wants everyone to get excited about Cedric Alexander versus Mustafa Ali at Wrestlemania.

Video
A special look at the upcoming Cruiserweight Title match and the weeks leading up to it.

Show Impressions
Good show. I liked the matches quite a lot (to varying degrees), but I would have liked to see Cedric Alexander and Mustafa Ali on the show rather than in a video. That’s a minor complaint though.

Match of the Night
Buddy Murphy vs Kalisto
This is worth watching again at some point. I’m still a little on the fence about Murphy being a Cruiserweight, but he’s been involved in good matches, so I can’t really complain.
