Drake Maverick talks about Cedric Alexander successfully defending his title against Drew Gulak at the Summer Slam Kickoff. And tonight, Noam Dar will face TJP in their rubber match, and the Lucha House Party will take on Tony Nese and Buddy Murphy in a tornado tag match.

Match Thoughts
Good match. I think I liked their previous match a little more because of TJP focus on Dar’s knee, but this match showed that Dar learned from that match. It also showed that any fear or hesitation Dar had about his knee seems to be gone. I like this as a mini-feud finisher.

Drew Gulak says that Cedric Alexander didn’t prove anything in their match. If he cares about his legacy as champ, Alexander should give Gulak a rematch.
Backstage
Kayla Braxton asks Drake Maverick if he has given any thoughts to Gulak’s request for a rematch. He has, but there are a lot of deserving title contenders. Therefore, Gulak’s request is denied.
Ring Area
Akira Tozawa heads to the ring for a match with Colin Delaney, but Brian Kendrick and Jack Gallagher attack both wrestlers before the match can begin. Drew Gulak enters the ring and says there will be no peace until he gets a rematch.
Cedric Alexander comes out to the stage. Alexander says he’ll gladly come down to the ring to shut up Gulak if he’ll stop hiding behind Kendrick and Gallagher. Drake Maverick comes out and stops Alexander from going to the ring. Gulak makes fun of The Age of Alexander and says it sucks. Gulak says Alexander is scared, but he leaves the ring when Alexander finally makes his way past Maverick and some referees. Gulak leaves through the crowd.

Match Thoughts
Really great match! This got crazy multiple times. People were flying all over the place, hitting each other as hard as they could, and coming up with fun and unique multiple-person situations. This was super fun to watch.
Show Impressions
Very good show. It added a lot of momentum to the title, and the matches were top-notch.
