(referee: Rod Zapata)

Result: Drew Gulak pins AKira Tozawa with a prawn hold
Time: 8:04

Match Thoughts
Good match. Tozawa seemed to be the more level-headed person between him and Kendrick. Tozawa went about his business, but Kendrick got in trouble because he was angry. Gulak and Gallagher took advantage of Kendrick’s anger and dominated a lot of the match. Tozawa started to turn things around, but the mistrust between Kendrick and Tozawa cost them in the end. This was a good story line match.

Backstage
Earlier today, Drake Maverick oversaw the weigh-in for Buddy Murphy and Mustafa Ali. Ali weighed in at 182 lbs. Murphy weighed in at 204 lbs. After they were weighted, a small brawl broke out. Adam Pearce and Jason Ayers helped separate the two men.

Backstage
Dasha Fuentes welcomes Buddy Murphy. Murphy says Survivor Series isn’t about anything except for Murphy’s Cruiserweight Title and what he will do to anyone who tries to take it away from him. Murphy almost feels bad for Ali.

Match 2
Lince Dorado & Kalisto vs Mike Karma & Kraig Keesaman
(referee: Charles Robinson)

Show/Hide Results

Result: Lince Dorado pins Kraig Keesaman after a shooting star press
Time: 2:00

Match Thoughts
A fun, fast, high-flying squash.

Also, Mike Karma is Mike Sydal (aka Ken Dharma), Matt Sydal’s brother. And Kraig Keesaman is Niles Plonk in the indies. (info credit: @LocalCompWWE)

Ring Area
As Kalisto and Dorado celebrate in the ring, Maria Kanellis appears on the tron. She says that Lucha House Party has unfinished business with TJP and Mike Kanellis. When they decide to make an example of Lucha House Party, it will be the first and last time. Also, she’s looking forward to seeing Gran Metalik face TJP next week.

Backstage
Cedric Alexander says he has been undefeated this year until recently because this is his life and his livelihood. To Lio Rush, wrestling is about awards and trophies. Alexander is working for his legacy, and tonight, the Age of Alexander continues.

Match 3
Lio Rush vs Cedric Alexander
(referee: Danilo Anfibio)

Show/Hide Results

Result: Cedric Alexander wins via pinfall after the Lumbar Check
Time: 13:26

Match Thoughts
Great match! There was a lot of uncertainty in regards to Alexander’s state of mind (and chances of winning) going into this match, so right away there was a lot of intrigue here. Lio Rush was confident as always, and he frustrated Alexander quite a lot early in the match. His anger seemed to drive him forward as the match went along, and Alexander began to try to beat Rush at his own (speed) game. That led to some really great, fast sequences of counters and reversals. Alexander also had the size advantage, and he used that with some heavy strikes in the match. The whole match was very good, but the last few minutes were great. This was a great match for both guys.

Backstage
Mustafa Ali says that Buddy Murphy will have to go to Hell and back in their battle for the Cruiserweight Title. In the end, the juggernaut will not be able to stop the heart of 205 Live.

Show Impressions
Though the troubles with Tozawa and Kendrick make sense, they way they showed those problems in the match tonight wasn’t very original. Still, I don’t really care that much, because this combination of wrestlers is going to create very good matches regardless of the story.

And yeah, Rush and Alexander was as good as I was hoping it would be.

Match of the Night
Lio Rush vs Cedric Alexander
I can’t wait to see this matchup again.
